when maia teased this song, she said kaleidoscope sounds like falling in love for the first time. maybe it's a love song, i thought. and then the song released. i finally heard it. ngl it was better than i actually thought. this song spoke to me, about how you would be maintaining a pleasing image that people around you like. they would you for that as a person, but deep inside you feel empty knowing you're more than that. wishing someone would see you in a different angle.. but how? when you've started to dislike the other parts of you. coz when it's flawed and they don't like it what's the point of embracing it? it takes a while but, once you realize your true colors, and find the right people to express it with.. you'll be free like leaves in the wind. it's the day you'll feel blooming, and fall in love for the first time-- with yourself :)
