Pretty awesome spot, couldn't climb it when I was there because it was too windy or so they reckoned.
Back in the 60's I had two uncles who climbed it, there wasn't another soul out there. The country was completely empty, they took up a carton of beer and drank it up there nonchalantly throwing the empties over the edge. How times have changed.

The toughest part now out there is getting the tinnies from the bottle shop to the car safely without having the carton pilfered by the friendly locals before you reach safety.

Danny, wildlife is no joke when you ride a bike...My first and only crash was last March...Long story short, Red Tailed Hawk swoops down to grab a snake right across my travel path...hit the rear break to miss it...then released the rear brake one he was clear, rear wheel kicked back in to low side me..."Down Goes Frazier"...I still can believe that actually happened. Was like watching a movie, and I live in NJ USA...Lesson, watch out for wildlife!!! Be safe, Love your Vids....

In their home country, D&D get to be on their own bikes which would be more fun & comfortable (as they are set-up for them). I'm a new subscriber, a female motorbike rider since I was 16 and a social worker. At the end of a stressful day this is my time-out watching space to unwind with the lads. I think my hubby is jealous as he says "are you watching your boyfriend again"... D&D make me want to go explore the back roads of my own country (NZ).

IDEA ! Danny: Your SLO-MO drone take-off from the dirt road was beautiful. Then,I thought of a plane taking off from there. So you could get the feel of it with your drone as you got higher bank left or right like a plane or glider and do that for a little bit in-flight, sorta change-up from your normal drone footage. Test it out. See what you think.

That’s not the niche Danny is filling. There’s plenty of YT videos of adventure bike riders but only one guy does that terrain on a 400kg cruiser. That is what draws me to each premier of MDB.... “what is Danny attacking with that big green tank today?”

Danny + Dirt Road = Trouble. For folks who've never been to NT, you can ride from Melbourne to Uluru on asphalt all the way. The roadside stops and servos (gas station) are the only exceptions. But not for Danny!! 😄

There's a big difference between a fire in the outback and a fire in a populated area. Aboriginals have been burning off the scrub for generations...
