I literally just finished my replay of Spider-Man, The City that Never Sleeps, and Miles Morales yesterday, so this is like super timely. Also, in the game they explain that Spider-Man has so many backpacks because he won a Fisk Science Competition where the prize was a lifetime supply of backpacks, and he's just forgotten most of them around the city
A lifetime supply of backpacks sounds like the lamest prize ever. It could've been anything. Pens, bagels, notebooks...but it had to be backpacks.

Fun fact, when spidey knocks someone off a building they actually get webbed to the side of it instead of falling to their deaths
I noticed that too, as soon as I realized you could hit them off buildings

Knowing exactly where you're going and the most optimal way to do it is a much bigger advantage than most people realise.

I did it in 20 hours taking it pretty casually and not thinking much about it. It’s not that difficult
I had some practice on miles morales when I did that 100% and learned some optimization and it took me about 12 ish hours

As others already mentioned, the guys spidey throws off buildings get webbed to the wall. But I want to focus on how terrifying that is. Imagine you are just looking out your windows and out of nowhere a thug falls by, stops, gets pulled towards you with 50mph, right before he explodes in this big white cloud of goo
Doesn’t Spider-Man’s webs dissolve after some time? So basically if no one can/wants to help you, you slowly lose traction and fall the rest of the way
@@3clipse449 Ah, the good old question! I mean, the backpacks keep sticking on things for several years. But if the webs don't desolve, the city would be filled with strings...
And yes, probably some cocoons with a corpse insight, if it's out of sight or reach for the normal person. Wich makes spidey kinda more terrifying than batman imo
I’d say that Spidey makes different types of webs for different things, so he probably has a type of web that doesn’t naturally dissolve but *can* dissolve with a chemical or something

The guy is still prob gonna die bc the webs won't last forever, and the force he gest slammed against the wall is defo breaking your spine, and probably some other bones which will probably kill you without medical attention

as someone who once played this game for 18 hours straight (and still hasn't 100 percented the damn thing), i salute you

mate that’s nothing compared to me, i had 50 hours before i got the platinum
Took me over 50 hours to get all achievements (you have to play the game twice, once on the hardest difficulty).
I've 100% it twice, plus all the dlc

15:53 fun fact, one of the backpacks reveals Peter was being granted money by Fisk for winning a reward as a teenager and had to decline (for obvious reasons). He instead took a lifetime supply of backpacks. It’s the one that looks like a golden globe

i just recently found your channel and ive been addicted ever since ive watched almost every single video you have such an interesting way of doing these speedruns that just keep my interest unlike any other speedrunner most of the other speedrunners are incredibly boring or dont talk at all keep it up man!
I love how he sounds so happy the entire time. Really shows how good the game is, even when running through it.

3:15:30 What's interesting is there's a few ways to do this fairly quickly and as someone who's done multiple playthroughs but never speedran, I've found some of these strats.
One run, I did something I couldn't replicate but I got caught in a spot there that put me right behind the last guy outside

When I first played this game I thought the Rhino and Squirpion fight was really hard. Now that I've beat the game 40 times (Im not joking, I literally beat it 40 times) it's really easy. I haven't 100% it but still. Speezy easy
I love that fight, especially when playing on the hardest difficulty
The 100% can be a bit of a grind if you're a casual player, buy it is so worth it
@@gamingnerd0348 You know when you beat the game and if you play it again you have all the same things and you get a boost? I did that so many times that it won't give me a bigger boost. I love this game and I want the new one with venom but I don't have a ps5
@Quorkk I don't think I ever went past new game+. I got new game+ for the trophy, but I generally avoid new game+ in any game, because it suddenly feels too easy playing the game.
But I agree on the Spider-Man 2. I have a PS5, which I got like, 2 years ago, but I don't have the money to buy the game. Been avoiding spoilers like the plague so that I can go into it as fresh as possible.

I like the idea of a speedrunner Spider-Man that absolutely doesn't care about anything going on around him and just swings between every single crime within a 5 mile radius that he just somehow happens to know is either happening or about to happen

i am wondering how he manages to learn so many speedrun trats in relativly low amounts of time
Speezy isn't really a world record grinder is how. After all, _learning_ the strats and getting a semi-decent time isn't actually that hard. Pick a relatively quick game and you can probably get a Top 50 time in a week or so.
It's when you're getting those top 10 times, optimising for _seconds_ of gameplay that you start spending months and years grinding it out.
Respect to this guy for doing a 9+ hour speedrun and then do another 3+ hours of commentary
Does he record and then makes the commentary? I thought he did both at the same time (atleast in some speedruns)
@sandy_nes31 I think it depends, but I think he usually does commentary over the video after because talking while he plays distracts him he said before
I don’t think so because that would be really hard and I’ve never seen a commentary run before
If he does do the run and commentary at the same time that’s really impressive
God I just finished spider man 2 and rewatching this has made some of the characters in number 2 make sense like I had zero idea who yuri was in number 2 but I now know and the difference between the 2 games in graphics and upgrades is insane

just wanna say that 'somehow' nothing with lifting that rubble, spiderman is secretly *yoked* beyond all belief, and has caught falling buildings before. the relative strength of a human-sized spider is hilariously strong. in the Spiderman arc where peter parker and Doc Ock swapped brains, Doc Ock as Peter accidentally *destroyed* the face of the first criminal he punched, and then realised that Spiderman's been sandbagging them incredibly hard this entire time.
hilariously, the first anyone knew of Spiderman getting his brain back into his body was when he quipped to Green Goblin, and Goblin's face was a thing of *absolute beauty*.

I remember one time whilst I was playing spider-man ps4, I got stuck on a level so I just decided to collect every backpack, complete every landmark, every crime, reach max level, unlock all suits, do all side missions and complete every hideout. I did that all during June and now it’s November and I am happy to announce…I’m still stuck on the level😭

To explain the backpacks, this can be easily explain by the science trophy, that was sponsored by fisk, so when peter won, he didn't used the money while saying he used it to have eye surgery, and the price also came with an infinite suply of backpacks

Cool little gem about this game and the miles morales one as well when you punch people off the building it actually web attaches them to the side of the building
My favorite thing about the Black Cat Collectables is the posters by each one numbered 1-12. if you do them in order the last one is right her hideout.

to answer the back packs thing, they’re all the backpacks spidey has just left around the city over his years or heroing cause when he suits up he would just leave his back pack webbed up in whatever random alley he changed in.
swinging is verry satisfying specially on computer i had played it on my friend's pc and i was swinging way faster than on controller also sometimes it also jus shoots you upwards super fast

Around 15:50 That is actually explained in the Game. In one Cutscene Pete sais he won a contest by Fisk and won Money and a Lifetime Backpack supply. He also uses the Money he won as an excuse for why he doesnt need glasses anymore, but in reality he didnt take the Money because he knew its Money Fisk got through Illegal things
40:05 so for the fish medicine since it is a large body of water the medicine could be water soliciable to defuse into water amounts that large and it creates the perfect intake because fish filter their air from the water. If the medicine can be ingested through osmosis than the fish just existing will give them the medicine. However just like all medicines a number of facors can cause no noticeable changes for a while.

To answer your fish question, I don't believe that they have any weird quirks that would make post-exposure vaccination more effective than it is in humans, so yes that's definitely just wibbly video game science.
Disclaimer: not a fish expert, just someone with some bio experience, some fish are really weird and do have crazy sounding properties.

the threat sensor suit mod allows you to hit a lot and I mean ALOT of enemies regardless of anything when its active(the only ones that you cant hit are shielded enemies when their shield is facing you and shocker cause his shield)
edit: oh and you don't slow down either, or if you do, the speed debuff is so miniscule to be practically unnoticeable
