Dude I'm the oldest of three kids.. I've got 12 years on my youngest sister. My mom and I had a HUGE multi day long fight because she was sending my baby sister to girls camp. When she came home she was pissed. After the stories the little one told me, I was so thankful that I never had to go through that
I haven't watched this video yet, mostly because it may trigger me. I went to girl's camp in 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1991. Each year had it's own particular reason for being horrific, let alone being forced to sleep in cabins or tents in the Texas heat, but it was hell.
Im not mormon, but for several years of my youth, my mom basically used summer camp as a babysitter, and i would be in summer camp for 8 weeks . And i was just as socially challenged, undiagnosed aspergers, so i got picked on a lot in camp and school
And that was a parent choice, not the church. Maybe she would have had fun if she didn't have such a big chip on her shoulder, and had more grateful/less critical attitude.
@@aliciarobbins4206 Since you don’t like camping, I wonder how you would have acted if you were forced to go. It’s easy to criticize her when you haven’t done it yourself. Your superior attitude, without even having experienced it, is rude and gives off "pick me" vibes. Not cute.
Judgmental Karens, exactly the reason why so many hate the cult. So contentious, man what a troll you are, even for a Mormon. Wow says a lot about your obsessions that you have to try to bully anyone who feels differently than you do. People like you make me glad so very glad I left your hate filled cult. She never asked for this... the only thing shallow here is your attitude and your emotional depth. She's allowed to hate something and say it loud-it’s just a camp. So, take your culty, holier-than-thou attitude somewhere else.
@@tillie2537 Welcome to life, people your bosses expect things from you. You are given a list of things to do and must be done in order. I went to girls camp for 8 years, best experience of my life. We slept on the ground and cooked over an open fire. We had a bear wander in one night. There were around 100 girls or more, there were certain items each girl was to learn just in case of an emergency. Things like how to build a fire and how to cook over it, first aid and what to do if you get lost. The older girls taught the younger ones, it's called leadership skills. Then there were fun activities; hikes, crafts, skits and star gazing. All of this was rotated around so each girl got her turn, hence the list or tight schedule. The women who planned all of these activities were not paid, they had to sleep on the same hard ground. They did it all out of the goodness of their hearts. So don't blame them, other girls loved it and will remember the experience with fondness. So what's wrong with this young lady, she lacks appreciation for all of the time and hard work that went into the planning and carrying out of those plans. She is self centered and shallow, it's not her leaders fault her parents made her go.
I'll bet Joseph Smith would have LOVED "girls camp". Right up his alley.
Hahahaha

Dudette!! I had so much fun at Girls Camp! And I didn’t ever have friends in my ward. But I knew I would get out of it what I put into it.
At our camp it was run by the stake, they mixed us up instead of keeping us in wards. We met new friends.
@@NancyBrown-xw8hg The good news is that Nancy Brown met new friends. The bad news is that people had to meet...Nancy Brown.

I actually got them at a Spirit Halloween store lol. You might be able to find similar ones on Amazon though🙌🙌
No one is forced to go to girls camp. I never did, cause I don't like camping.
So there are choices made.
