I really like the frame and am a little confused by some of the unfavorable reviews out there. To be honest some of the reviews sound a bit whiny… but to each his own. I’m currently a 4..5 player & I customized my frames with weight at the 3 & 9 o’clock positions for added stability and swing weight.
Great review. Nice to see a really good player testing and appreciate the boom. It is somewhat recommended for women and juniors from the YT crowd (Which I think is not 100% correct.. I am between the boom mp and the Wilson clash 100 pro right now. But I am 56 and need some serious help from the frame.😅
Hey alex thanks yeah. It is definitely not only a juniors or women. Yeah I understand :D I am not sure if I can help you with the decision. Maybe something like if you have or had arm, wrist or shoulder problems maybe go for the clash.
This is a very useful video, its nice when in reviews people say which kind of players should use a racket. I am definitely not a beginner, but you know the pool and level of intermediates is so big...so I would say I am below average intermediate. I was going for the Head Radical but this review has me thinking. Is the radical too hard for my level ? Sounds like the Boom is perfect for me
True most club players are in the intermediate category You could try both I think The radical is just a bit more for control and the boom is a bit more power and easier to use depends
the boom mp maybe with some additional led tape. But the other not so much. The yonex feel is something I am not enjoying so much. But everyone is different
around 25kg The lynx tour string is almost a cheating string - durability is exceptional and the feel and control and spin it provides alone is amazing - take this nice racket and almost a perfect combination

it is way better than the extreme mp in all tennis endeavors maybe except the power!

I have not. But I can imagine that the racket can improved with some lead 👍
How does it compare to gravity mp?
the gravity mp has a less power and less spin potential
also the feel is slightly better in my opinion.
