Thank you for allowing our bel9ved elders to speak their versions of the past. It was enjoyable and it makes sense. Sharing correct history is more powerful and positive for us as proud native peoples. I am not Navajo or Pueblo but I respect all good people what ever nationality you are. Get along and we can learn a lot from eachothers stories.

*My Great great... Grand-mother dating back to 1650 was a full blooded Native American, A Mohawk Indian.*
The ancient people of south America down in Chili are considered to be Aboriginals, migrating from Australia as far back as 50,000 years ago.
We also have evidence of ancient people in the Americas living on islands and using boats dating back about 18,000 years ago.
Thank you for sharing with us.

I believe the Diné people's interpretation of their own history. I am against misinformation regardless of where it comes. I'm looking forward to the day when I can step out of my dark society and come into the light of the bright New Mexico and learn from the Navaho people themselves. I want to volunteer my services and go through the ceremonies to become a free sovereign spiritual Dinétah.

If I ever win the lottery, I will make it my mission to help the Native Americans. They have suffered such abuse, had their lands stolen, cheated time and again, and they can't even get a decent water system on their reservation. It's shameful, just shameful.

Vine Deloria s" red earth white lies" opened my eyes to the blatant lies and supremacist nature of anthropology . The Dineh people have a fascinating culture, with great insights into the cultures of chaco canyon , Montezuma's castle ,and many others . I don't care what an anthropologist surmises I care what the indigenous elders of an area know . Current day Dineh country is amazingly beautiful . Look forward to your book .

Don’t understand so many dislikes. People like to downgrade Diné teachings, yet history has proven that we helped out anyone that came by us. Pueblo Revolt, turned away outside help til the Long Walk. Diné said there was peace til Pueblo practice slave trade in Chaco. We Diné don’t stand by that practice. We practice Walk in Beauty. The Great Peace. Teachings that Native Nations have lost.

All across the Americas you run into many different tribes speaking slight variations of the same story on how life really was before the European invasion. My gut feeling tells me they add a-lot more truth about this lands history than what the academic consensus tells us today. We should always take everyone’s account before deciding what the truth probably is.

Bigah. I like this guy. He tells it like it is. Don't be fooled by his rough looks. He is very intelligent and very well informed about the Dine and their traditional ways and stories. I lived in Farmington for 17 years and sort of immersed my self in their culture by way of some very dear friends from upper Fruitland who invited me into their family and shared some of their ways with me. I felt very honored that they would take me in like that. When I moved there I knew nobody and was like a fish out of water coming out of El Paso. But they were the first to welcome me and I always think of them as brothers and sisters. But this man Clifford, he knows his stuff. You can't always rely on what's in books written down by outsiders. Most of their knowledge is not even written down, it's handed down verbally. and they are not to keen on giving that knowledge to the Anglos. They might give some, but they always change it a bit and leave out important details. Because it's only meant for tribal members. Anyways , Great video. Very informative. Keep 'em coming....

It is obviously best to get Navajo history from the Navajo people. It is unfortunate that names and stories were not all done by the Native People. There has been new studies of human migration to North and South America and it shows that there have been various routes from several different locations at periods before the migration from Asia through Alaska. But DNA is the key to find where all Native Americans came from. There has been some studies but much more is needed.
