Our cat is 15 and I too have bought so many cat toys and cat beds and he didn't play with any of them. Now I just accept that if he doesn't want to sleep with us he prefers a bulky old black wool jacket to sleep on, that I keep on the floor for him, and a few pieces of paper that he sits on and systematically shreds. He LOVES shredding paper. Messy, but it makes him happy.
My cat takes the 90lb dogs bed every day.😂
I love this! Wouldn’t do without one of these characters for anything. More entertaining than Netflix.

Let's not forget all the toddlers who prefer the boxes to the gifts! It must be a universal law.
We have a domesticated feral cat (I named her Sputnik as she orbited our house for 2 yrs). I came home after a business trip to find, as my roommate put it, she just walked in the door and stayed. We had a fairly tall cat tree that the cats adored. However, instead of just enjoying the height of the perches and ignoring the open cube on the pole like the rest of the kitties, she chose to use it to practice her pole dancing routine. She spun her way through the 2 openings in the cube and hung upside down on the tree’s main pole. She put any human to shame with her routine.😅😅
When I moved into my first solo apartment, my parents got me a pot/pan set in a large box as a house warming gift. My cat had so much fun with the box that I kept it out on the floor for months. Just like a kid having more fun with the box the toy came in then the toy itself.😂
Those who haven't had the pleasure of living with a respected, happy, knuckleheaded cat will never understand just what an adventure it can be.
5:45 Murphy and Molly. Her smudge gave her an Elvis-sneer look and his splotch made him look somehow like a puppy. They were the smartest, most fun, happiest and most loving housemates. Molly claimed my 12 yo son as her human. She put him to bed every night. He was finally in one place long enough for her to cuddle with! 15 years of those two silly friends. She left us 11 days after he did. She missed him. They had literally never been apart. When one went to the vet they both went.
I am laughing at all of these. This is just cats. I gave up after my first expensive purchase - totally ignored forever! - and let her do her own thing.
My two like my old dog bed or my lap or their boxes.
You should put some of your well worn clothes in the catbed, they don‘t like the new smell.
PLEASE do not let your cat have access to plastic bags! For OBVIOUS reasons!
