I agree that the final Bowser battle in the first game is better than this one, because the first has the previous Bowser battles morphed into one. This one is just so anticlimactic because, despite that it has epic music, it's not so difficult. To hear the music for longer, you can drag on the fight until you're ready to knock Bowser down to size!

Taking a lot more hits
Maybe add a fireball attack?
Not have the meteors he punches give you a coin to undo the damage.

It's such an epic concept, fighting while being sucked in a black hole with Bowser spinning everywhere and all, not to mention the music. But it's way too easy and fast.

I like the final boss design in Super Mario Galaxy 1 better in terms of how challenging it is and how in each of the three phases, the way you would fight the boss is different. The final boss in Super Mario Galaxy 2 was not that hard but I enjoyed the idea of fighting a larger version of Bowser. I also enjoyed the surprise before the second phase of the boss and the idea that you are fighting phase two while you are being sucked into a black hole.

How I would fix the final boss:
Have it be that after he eats the grand star, Bowser creates a big black hole powerful enough to destroy thousands of galaxies. He then slaps Mario away, but the plumber lands on Yoshi and notices all the destruction. The fight is basically like Fecto Elfilis from KATFL, but you eat the dash peppers to race onto all the various stuff, but there's a time limit of 6-8 minutes and Bowser will throw meteorites and other attacks at you. Then you go to a launch star and hit Bowser and you go through the same process as before, but it gets harder each time. In later parts of the fight, when you use the launch star, Bowser will block you and you have to shake the wii remote a lot to hit him. Then, you stay on a single planet after enough hits and Bowser will try to burn you with his fire breath, so you basically use the launch star and shake the wii remote multiple times to overpower it(Like Sonic Rush).

7:47 as a kid i realised that bowser has basically been hiding in the same pocket dimension of a throne room every time we encounter him, meaning we had 2 other opportunities to save peach in the other galaxies. What i didnt realise is at 11:30, he's basically willing to have that dimension collapse on itself in order to ensure mario doesn't survive, even if it means destroying the galaxy he spent so long creating. He doesn't care if he will have to start over, he just knows he need to get mario out of the way for his plan to succeed.

Also, now that I think about it, Bowser is my favorite villain in all media, but it's sad that he didn’t get a huge cake. If I did meet him (which I unfortunately won't, not even in Super Nintendo World since only some of the iconic good guys are meet and greet characters), I'd give him a cake with the message: "To my favorite villain! ~Jacob Van Antwerp~" I bet he'd actually appreciate a good deed from a good guy like that. For all I know, if it were a double-decker cake, he'd arrange Peach in a wedding with it, but that's his plot in Mario Odyssey and the movie, so I'd give him a big cake he could gobble in one bite. I wouldn't give him just a slice. No, the whole cake!

If you think about it, this game is actually the perfect ending to the Mario story. Bowser was the largest and most dangerous creature in the Mario Universe and terrorized the entire galaxy, and now that Mario has won, he is just a tiny little bug, which can never harm anyone ever again. His son Bowser Jr is dead because he was thrown into a black hole when his machine exploded and he couldn't have survived that. We got rid of him too. Kamek was eaten by Yoshi along the way and Bowser's spaceship was most likely destroyed after he fell into that black hole, destroying everything around it. His entire army died along with the spaceship. The galaxy is finally free from Bowser's rule and there is infinite peace. A perfect finale for a perfect game.

At the beginning of future mario games they should let you choose difficulty, from Easy Assist mode, to Fun for all ages Normal difficulty, to Experienced Hard Mode which would change the difficulty of each boss and change how the lifes are set up as well, for example, east assist mode has infinite lives, normal has the coin live mechanic like Mario odyssey and Hard has the standard 1-up mushrooms, Bosses would be more complex with unpredictability and more health and phases and moving on to more sections of the map would require more stars from previous levels based on difficulty, just what I think the should focus on
