I agree with everything you said! Great info for people undecided…I have 2018 107 with stage 2 and ported and polished heads, full Rc Excalibur exhaust, Andrews 460 tour cam and also tuned…The bike rips pretty hard! More than enough power for me! 23:08

BIG JOHN Long time subscriber!! This was one of your best video you done. Very honest opinion. I think it removed a lot of doubt for all that are thinking upgrades. After not riding for over 30 years I bought my first Harley a 2017 Road Glide Ultra. Within three months I had Laconia HD do the stage 1 because stock wise the bike didn't have the rumble sound I had envision. stock sounded too quiet. Today I turned 34,000 miles and had no problems.

Enjoy all your videos, thanks for making them. My 2 cents, starting with a new Harley Bagger (Street Glide, Road Glide, etc.):
#1. Heat management, maintaining "normal" and consistent Oil Temperature; add a ThunderMax Fan to the OE Oil Cooler and have HD Dealer enable it/program the ECM to let [ECM] know there is now a fan on the oil cooler; -or- add the HD combo Oil Cooler/Fan. Can also add the HD rear cylinder cooling fan.
    # 2. Suspension, replace the stock suspension (front & rear). I prefer Legends...REVO-A in the rear and the correct kit for the front. My 2020 SGS had 12" rear shocks (stock); I went with the 13" Legends.
#3. Performance upgrades (and consider if wanting to retain HD warranty or not). Can spread these out (costs, etc.) and if so desired, and add to the level (Stage) that's right for the type of riding and power levels one is seeking. Generally speaking, most folks are very satisfied with doing Stage-1 [Intake Air Cleaner, Exhaust (slip-on mufflers or a complete full system) and matching Tune for the EFI w/Stage-1. Stage-1 will typically boost power around 10% (or a bit more) above stock. Stage-2, utilizing a "bolt-in" Cam. Lots of choices here. There are plenty of "bolt-in" Cams (including OE Stage-2 Cams) that will produce gains anywhere in the 100hp-120+hp / 115-130+ torque), dependent on the combination of parts (intake, exhaust, Cam, etc.) and the Tune. A favorite of mine (2020 SGS 114) is the Stage-3 (114-to-117, or 114-122 cu.in.) with the HD Screaming Eagle Stage-2 Torque Cam; keeps my warranty intact. Also, the OE Stage-4 114-to-117 is pretty good, but I would change the Cam (Stage-4 Cam is basically mid-range to top-end; I prefer a Torque Cam with strong bottonend to mid-range Torque, because that's my riding style, 2-up on a bagger). Of course if money is no object...then I would do a 114-128 S&S kit or a S&S 114-to-131 Stroker Kit with custom heads, etc. Easy to achieve 155-160+hp with same or more Torque. But, at that power levels, more cost involved for reliability...clutch upgrades, compensator upgrades, etc., etc..

Great channel, I know this is an old video but I just recently subscribed. Watched your iron butt solo ride. Great Job. Just want to put my 2 cents in. I currently ride a 2019 Ultra Limited. As soon as my warranty expired I just wanted better sound and more power. So decided to do a aftermarket stage 2. Full cobra exhaust woods 22xe cam arleness heavy breather and full tune. Had high compresssion heads installed also. Went from 76hp 109tq to 116hp 135tq. Sounds amazing and pulls like a monster. Super happy with the upgrade!

Bought my 2011 dyna street bob new and left it stock for about 5 years. Ran great but I then put in the SE 110 tire shredder kit (106hp/122tq). I probably use about 70% of the power the way I ride but that last 30% is more than enough to get me in trouble when I do "give er"

How much power? How much is to much?
Ten second quarter mile should be fast enough.

Love your videos. I just did a stage 2 back in July on my 21 RGS with the screaming eagle cam, had it professionally tuned, and love the extra passing power. I'm also running the 4.5 inch Khromewerks exhaust.
I'm now thinking about a stage 3. I wouldn't say I rode hard per se, but don't want any issues. Is the clutch, basket, and transmission a definite? FYI I already upgraded to the legends on the front and back way before the stage 2. just trying to see if the stage 3 is worth it bc I do love s loud and powerful bike

Does the upgrade at JD Cycles void the ESP warranty. Will HD service work on the bike after a 128 upgrade at JD’s? Would HD be able to repair a JD upgrade when the just deal with HD own parts? Sounds like once you go with the JD upgrade there no where else to maintain and service the bike except for JD’s or the equivalent which isn’t in every town. Writing from VA. @@CYCLEFANATIX Awesome bro! Big fan of the channel and pumped to see it grow like it is! I’m from Long Island but live in Key West, put that in your bucket list rides for the future to come down to Southermost point USA! Fall sounds good to me, probably when I would be able to afford to do a bar change since I just put everything I had into getting the new road glide! Keep the videos rollin!!!
