Just sharing my humble opinion. As a Mahaperiyava devotee you could have given this speech in a traditional attire. Please no arguments.

Please understand that she is not in India to have traditional dress. As Periyava devotees let us all try to look beyond physical appearances and try to appreciate thoughts and feelings.
In my opinion, we need to look beyond attire and appearances..what matters is true bhakti, that's the only way to come closer to the Parama Porul Mahaperiva.. the fact that she was granted the opportunity to conduct gurupoojai under the guidance of GR Mama stands testimony to the fact that Mahaperiva has showered his umpteen choicest blessings on her.
Also she mentions Mahaperiva came in her husband's dream..All this , in my very humble opinion, happens only when HIS divine Grace is upon them..
So as long as Periva himself has showered his blessings on them , how does anything else (least of all attire), matter?
From the word go, the devotee seems steeped in bhakti, and the way she narrates her experiences in such a consummate manner, shows how much of devotion she has towards HIM. That's all matters .
I don't mean to argue at all..just sharing my thoughts..
You are giving this reply for an argument sake and there’s no end for this sort of discussion. When I say “ Periyava is my Guru” I will surely present myself traditionally.We are not Pradosham mama to say true bhakti is enough. Most of us are still struggling to hold an Eka Chittam.
@@ranjees yes I should have made myself clearer..when I say "true bhakti", I certainly don't mean the level of Pradosham mama..
We are all doing bhakti as much as we can , to the best of our abilities.
Personally I consider myself a very small speck who just is attempting to tightly hold the Parama Porul's paadam in the hopes of getting a little bit of his kripa kataksham.. in the hopes of bettering myself a little by little everyday, to make myself more worthy of HIS grace. When I saw your comment, I felt compelled to say that to HIM bhakti matters ,whatever little, who is anyone to judge , from any angle (attire for example). From my personal experience of having conducted Gurupoojai and seeing my life transform for the better before my eyes, I can vouch for the fact that the Parama Porul doesn't expect Pradosham mama level bhakti..what we can do given our circumstances and mindset , in a true manner is what matters. That's why I feel it's important to look beyond certain very insignificant details like attire..
When I see the devotee in this video, I was moved by her bhakti, her experiences with the Sarvavyaapi Mahaperiva. I mean when she said her husband had a dream where Periva is resting his head on her husband's lap, my tears just wouldn't stop. This is an extraordinary experience to have ,granted to very few pure aatmas.. so I feel. It's almost like Periva certifying and accepting the bhakti.
This was the context with which I was viewing the video and hence I feel that attire doesn't matter at all. Bhakti is unconditional, nothing but truth of this feeling matters. That's the beauty of our Periva.
Also I don't argue for the sake of it - it's pointless.. I guess I got slightly upset coz u chose to see the lady's attire and not the beauty of her narration and experience.
This said, to each his own. Jaya Jaya Shankara. Hara Hara Shankara.
