Mousse and gel have been my staple combo for wash and gos. I will say to get better hold, apply the gel in smaller sections, the way you did the mousse. And maybe apply the combo in one section before moving on the next because the initial application of the mouse really smooths down the cuticle and then the gel locks in everything in place. If you let the mousse start to dry and then go back, your original smoothness and definitely have already started frizzing up and then adding the gel after won’t make a huge difference. Only exception will be if you’re already using a strong hold mousse like the Doux’s Mousse Def. If you’re interested in another good combo, Pattern’s curl mousse + innersense I create hold gel will give you a popping W&G that lasts the whole week.
I love the wash and go you have done with the foam mousse combo and the gel. I have done that with the xtreme wet line gel and the olive oil hair mousse. For me it made my wash and go last for awhile. After my hair was set, I can still feel moisture from roots to tip that is because I tried the curl max curl activator the mousse and then gel. I love to feel the gel casting because it makes it feel that the water I trapped in my hair is still there. Plus I have to wear a hair net at work can not wear big hair at all.
Winner, I did the same thing different products though. I used miche beauty gel 2 foam mousse & water got the same results a fluffy wash&go lasted 5days no flakes I was happy🎉🎉💕💕gorgeous wash& go💕💕💕.

The thing about short medium and long is that shoulder length hair in some areas of the black community is considered long when it is actually short maybe tip toeing into medium length.

Bc mine turns into a different ugly hairstyle like a pineapple when I tie it down to sleep or it gets dry so I have to do a wash and go everyday. Now.i just bun it and call it a day. Have you notice damage by stretching your hair every week? I used to stretch and use extreme gel and it lowkey damaged my hair. My hair became stringy looking. So I’m scared to go back to my old method
Love you but not my fav style on you 🥰 it looked prettier before the stretch. When I big chopped I personally embraced all the shortness and when it got to my a**the first time then I embraced the length. Again I loved the before stretch look and I love your natural color😊
