I bought my first Tamiya Mercedes 190 RC car (black and silver) a clear polycarbonate shell my first by the way and daunting as I never ever painted in reverse before and an acoms 2 channel system from beatties toy shop (now defunked) it was a great build too! well pleased ! so much so I have bought a scania R620 and now buying the R770 8x4!
Looks very good, shame Tamiya have gotten so expensive with their last few trucks releases that they are loosing life long fans, there’s no reason why this kit is half as much again as most 6x4 chassis ones, especially as it’s the very same chassis
Ian, good point, but you have to remember that when any company that gets "permission" to use a product such as the 770S (for example), they (Tamiya) have to get a license to use said design/product, therefore they pay Scania AB for just that. Now I don't know how much it cost(ed) Tamiya to use the basic design (Cab/Fairings), but I can almost guarantee you that it wasn't cheap and because of that, Tamiya has to produce the kit and price it accordingly just to break even on development costs and re-tooling from the previous generation Scania R Series kit they had on the market when it goes on sale. I'm not too sure if Tamiya did the same exact thing with AB Volvo on the FH16 kit, but i'm sure they dumped a whole lot of yen, just so we r/c rig enthusiasts can enjoy the "cheaper" version of an FH16 and/or the Scania's Next Gen 770S. Trust me, Mate, I asked myself that very same question in my head...my wife almost took me to the nuthouse cause of it lol Aloha from Hawai'i 🙂
@@keeping.it.hawaiian I can see your point but Scania have an open license as they consider it as free advertising when anyone uses their cabs for toys, models, computer games, so no fee there And tooling isn’t as expensive as one would think since 3D printers are available to make the plugs for the moulds, but even it that was the case why did the last 2 Mercedes cab releases not jump so much it price? Whatever the reason I’d say they have and will loose money on a lot less sales (just my opinion)
I like tamiya very much.

Goto their website, it's item #56368 and here in the United States it costs $702. I think it's really badass as well.
When is the release date? I can't find it from nowhere.
June

Realese a shackman truck
seems stupid. why pull a Hercules trailer. why not use a tamiya trailer.
The "Deep Freeze Delivery" trailer is Tamiya?
It’s Tamiya 56319 3 axle trailer
