Thanks! I have a question. Do you know how similar are those two cameras from rhino and blender? I am thinking about rendering it in blender and MAKE 2D it in rhino and overlay them after.
I didn't do a pixel to pixel comparison, and I don't have a test file to verify that just yet. But you should be able to verify for yourself quite easily as well!
Tested in Blender 4.1 and 3.6 with no luck. I'm getting errors in both versions and the addon can only be enabled when the "wrong" version is used on Windows. I can enable the one labeled for 3.6 in Blender 4.1 and I can enable the one for 4.1 in 3.6. Neither will import any geometry at all but seem to have everything in the Outliner.
hey, are you saying that for Blender 4.1 you had to use the package with py3_10 in the name where I used py3_11 in the name in the video? And for Blender 3.6 you needed to use the package called py3_10? When you see data imported in the outliner but not in the view try using View > Frame All. If you're importing a model created in millimeter template in Rhino it might be very tiny. Before import change the unit scale to 0.001 if that is the case. Also check what the scene statistics say (View Overlays > Statistics). In this video you can see for instance at 1:03 the stats in the top-left corner of the 3d viewport.
I just double-checked, the py 3.10 version installs correctly in Blender 3.6 on Windows. The py 3.11 version of the add-on installs correctly in Blender 4.1 on Windows

Thank you! I use it for every project. It is so useful for working between these two programs.
I'm happy to hear it is useful!
Thanks!
You're welcome (:

Thanks you- does it require rhino 8 or will it work with 7 Files?
It does not require Rhino 8. It just is able to open files through to Rhino 8. It will also open Rhino 7, Rhino 6 etc. files.
