I never actually just decided to kill someone out the blue it just seems like someone with a big ego would do. But you did a Superb job defending yourself.

I’d have to assume the one shot was a combination of the barrel roll AND the collision itself connecting with the head. Does a lot of damage and both of you were moving fast enough it’d hurt.
I don't get why hatz players are always so desperate to kill others lol I also had something similar happen when I was on my sub hatz and helped a friend quest in bql. First I heard a ramph, which I ignored, but of course that was only the scout and we should have left. 5 minutes later 4 adult hatzes show up just to kill me. They wouldn't have gotten anything since I was still (visibly) only sub-adult but I was questing for the skin so I really didn't wanna die - much less give them the satisfaction. So I crawl to this rock wall, out of stamina, unmoving as possible, and somehow 3 of them passed right overhead. As I went for takeoff the fourth showed up right in front of me, messed up his aileron roll and crashed into the aforementioned rock wall, I take flight, his discord buddies all come back and dive bomb, somehow also all manage to miss and I just barely managed to get to a home cave before they could catch up again I am no trash talker but I couldn't resist when I came back out with the protection 😅
Good job getting out of there! Hatz can definitely be a desperate group for sure sometimes, especially when they have the numbers. If one of the group dies, they are able to respawn and fly back while the other ones keep you busy. It can turn into an endless cycle of fighting until you lose or they are all wiped out. Can be terribly tiresome 😩
absolutely love when this happens, Personally I play a lot of thal because it’s fast to get off the ground and it can actually damage things, and it’s so fun to kill sleeping hatze who just tried to kill you. If you run out of stam you can just go into the water too and regain it on thal (but good luck if there’s aquatics). But either way good work taking them on! Along with that I feel the pain of someone chasing you across the map just to kill you lmao.

I've got a lot of experience fighting or defensive play and told my friends how affective critical hits can make a difference. It was such a well executed hit with a powerful attack mixed with the collision impact that just... added up. Weak points on creatures really do matter. I applaud you keeping a cool tactical head during this attack. Thinking of separating them and not panicking. I absolutely LOOOVE the skin/colors you chose too! Made me actually want to try out Hatz finally. I had some experience with quetz but mostly just realism experience. Rhamphs is my most played flyer. Lol
Thank you for the analysis and compliments! The critical spots are very important and I don’t think enough newer players realize it. I absolutely love the Hatz! You should definitely give it a shot. I’ve never played Rhamp but I wanna give it a go. They seem so fun!
@@PestilentAllosaurus hmmmm it’s hard to say what the best piece of advice would be. Unfortunately, the recent stamina nerfs make it really difficult to do much air combat/dog fighting. A lot of fights end up being on the ground, which I’m still trying to get used to. Definitely get Running Start as a soon as possible! As for the rest of the abilities, it’s really up to you. That’s one of my favorite things about Hatz is that there are so many different ways to play depending on what you like! I also recommend looking up Dakarthy’s channel. They’ve posted a lot of good Hatz combat videos that have helped me get an idea of how I should be fighting on the ground. 🤗
I'll never understand why people are so power hungry when it comes to getting trophies in PoT. I mean I can get trying to get one to get to full adult but is it worth chasing someone across the map when you can just do 5 quests? I mean if I get lucky and run into something I can kill and itll give a trophy sure but like, if you're gonna be a butt about it and chase me across 4 different points of interest you might as well just picked up the flowers at each area there XD. And then once you're full adult, again, questing is still more efficient because trophies only give you like 55 marks, maybe more, but its still not much more than quests if it even is more at all.
How did you keep so much speed despite turning so sharply lol, or were you even moving that fast? Idk bro that was weird lol. Also I thought flying faster made you take more damage, not do more, I know you do damage somehow when running into things when flying but I figured you'd take more damage yourself by doing so? Idk lol if any pro hatz's would like to answer that question that'll be cool lol cuz I'm too stupid to know how it works XD.
@@dtbrex08 I wish I knew the answer to that, but I’m just as confused as you are. 😆 I was shocked when they died from that hit. Everyone I’ve asked about what happened just gives me the best guess of speed/momentum + the barrel roll being a headshot. I have no idea what really happened though!
