GM knows how to spit out some underwhelming products. All this thing needed was a little thought into lighting and a bit nicer interior and it would be an almost perfect product. The refresh cannot come soon enough. There needs to be a law against non LED lighting in vehicles from 2020 onward 😂 another great review Steve. Hope you all enjoyed vacation !

Man you can say that again, GMC is still stuck in that before Bankruptcy era nickle, dime, and penny design era inside that vehicle. How can anyone justify paying so much for that vehicle, must of not shopped the competition.
reliability is questionable when it comes to GM products !! and what's up with that hanging down Y shape dual muffler pipe !!! i didn't see that during me buying a 2007 XLE Toyota Camry V6 and it does annoy me so much. to the point looking at cars i alway walk way behind it and see if that Y pipe is visible .. i don't understand where is the exterior quality control are they that blind ?! .. thank you Steve for the review
@c8701 who knows for how long it will preform as it should before it breaks down. Not to mention GM don't honor their products by fast fix/recall. Unless someone dies. It's unfortunate because I really like the Buick Regal and the Chevy Impala. But because. I have difficulty believing that. GM make good reliable vehicles for long run
Good review steve.. now I like this a lot .. styling in the front could of been more I guess better designed but gm to me never disappoints in the truck/suv department ... downsizing prolly helped wit Tahoe sales and this suv handles better and is more powerful...now at 50k yes other luxury vehicles are better in the interior department... but this will drive just as good or better and the Denali treatment does have a bold appeal to it
You never buy these for MSRP, so the cost complaints are irrelevant. You can pick up a 52K Denali for low 40's. That makes these an attractive option to the others in the class, even with the underwhelming interior design compared to the hot offerings from Kia/Hyundai. The GM engine provides more power than the Kia. Nearly everyone sees the Kia 6-banger as adequate but not exciting. And with all of the criteria to base a purchase like this on, who makes the final decision based on halogens versus LED?
I had a 14' Cruze I put 75k on and now a 17' Malibu with 30k on it and they've both been good. Never left me stranded. Some odd quality issues here and there but nothing mechanical with either of them. They've come a long way. Great cars.
The Acadia has poor outward visibility for the driver with the big front pillar----and you sit lower in vehicle versus the previous Acadia model. That has kept me from buying the redesigned model. I love the Denali version. The Buick Enclave is just plain ugly, however, the 2020 Cadillac XT6 is quite the crossover to solve those issues. It took long enough for GM/Cadillac to get over themselves and give the consumer what we need. Stubborn GM won't even offer cooled seats and adaptive cruise control on lower trim levels as options. Consumers could not even get a head up display in the 2017--2019 model. Finally the 2020 Acadia Denali will offer it......but......with late availability. Scoundrels. That's why I kept my 2014 Acadia Denali for so long. I'm a loyal GM consumer, but my patients has been severely strained by not giving consumers options we need. Nice review Steve.
Yeah, go CPO if you want all of the goodies at a lower cost. We had all of the electronics on out 2016 Envision 2.0T Prem ll. When we traded it we got a Regal TourX 2.0T with no electronic nannies...ah...thr quietness!
Paying that much for halogen projector beam headlights?
When a Base corolla has LED standard
I was thinking the same thing, at almost 50k that's unacceptable for it. Most Toyota and Honda have all these things included with that price.
Kia telluride s trim is the best bargain going right now
This is low $30's for the Black Edition Acadia.
Didn't know how great the acadia is!
Got my wife the Denali version , waited for a holiday sale , we got it for $45k .. we love it ! ..
Not a bad looking suv, could definitely make it an office.

Thanks, Jake!
My mom leased a Acadia Denali and we loved it.

$46k with halogen headlights in 2019 is a no no
Yea. Dealers have been unloading SLE models for thousands less than the MSRP. I see a handful of em going for 29 to 33k here in Texas.

The Black Edition looks really good.
Love you Steve!
Thanks!

Surprised to see the next one kept the same childish interior and layout! Kia/Hyundai new entries are leaping to the top of this class fast!
Also one of the priciest until the Koreans start their discounting.
Last time I heard their reliability sucks

GM corporate wide relibility has improved. Which is something you can't say about some Japanese manufacturers.
Are you still in York?
Back home now.
just missed you!@@stevehammes
No led turn signals or head lights or brake lights ??????
Negative
Only thing clearly better on 2020 is HUD.
and the styling and the lighting and the interior
And 2.0T!

It’s actually a 3.6 liter V6 not a 3.5
Indeed it is...my mistake.
Most vehicles in this class use a 3.5 or 3.6L V6.
I like my 2013 Acadia better.
To be honest, I do too.
Our last of the big one's 2017 is huge!
And the refresh never came.
It did, Mark! New styling for 2020 plus more.
@@stevehammes No unless you are referring to the refresh that arrived last year.
@@stevehammes No unless you are referring to a mild mid-cycle refresh that arrived last year.
@@markjohnston3502 Yes. That's the one.
$46k?! I'd rather take a year old Q5 or XC60. That price is insane, WOW!
There us $13,000-14,000 off MSRP in the USA.
You didn't get the Porsche Cayenne. Rats...
Not after you scolded me 😂. I changed it to something more mainstream. Porsche review is coming, though.
