I think it's absolutely bizarre that you give so much credit to the tyres for the increased comfort of the GT, when it has better suspension! I'd wager that the lion's share of the improvement is due to the SUSPENSION! Edit: I can't see any mention in the brochure about the GT having better suspension. In fact, EV Central say the Air has been locally tuned, and it actually feels plusher than the GT. I'm puzzled.
Obviously for your watchers the mirror move to digital is to drag from the wind and give better economy at higher speeds particularly. A quick Solution would be to adjust the mode for a wide view or standard view. Mostly though, it’s not looking at the side mirror in isolation. Generally with safety it’s the overall package. Personally I prefer the side view digital. But I havnt driven or seen it at night. I like a dark cabin at night and so I’m wondering how all these screens go for the driver at night.
Electric car prices dropping. This is 30k overpriced. I wish all well with it. Margins way to high. Not sure if 100 available per month at $100k for families is realistic. Let's watch in mid June 2025
@@user-vk4vd7vr5t We have terrible roads that could mess with the undercarriage and it gets hot in some places. The Ioniq 5 is holding up great in Kenya, though I've only seen them in the expat zones.
Those digital mirrors. I agree and did not want them in my Ioniq 6 after first thinking they were cool. I realised the head-movement for width of view was a big issue, and also the lack of dynamic range from cameras (the human eye is MUCH larger range) resulting in darkened mirror image at night, but I had not thought about the focal length aspect of your eyes. Of course this is a big no-no for camera rear-view mirrors. The rear-view cam with its wide-aspect is GREAT for parking and backing up, but I shall avoid side-view cameras. I would go for the Earth model as it has normal mirrors and seems to have the same power and torque specs as the GT-Line. Strange.
And expensive it is! What is the battery chemistry? NMC or LFP? Charging speed? You might like it or not. I do like it. Also, I have not 120K dollars for spare. Generally -- nice EV, for 30K dollars too much.
I think it was our 1970s Ford that had a gear shift on the steering column. Maybe it was the old Corolla. I was a kid, so I'm not sure. It's not new and I like it that way. Like you, I don't like the digital "mirrors". Are you sure about the reason for the tyre wear? You don't think it could be that EVs are so much fun to accelerate in?
Where is the physical air recirculation button? This is essential as needs to be able to be activated within 1-2 seconds if a dirty diesel pulls away ahead of you at the lights belching black smoke. Or if someone pulls out in front of you on a gravel road. Or you drive through pollen, dust or smoke or a stinky sewage farm. It’s critical to have a button for recirc always available. It’s a deal breaker for me not to have it.
Here are some observations about this car based on a few reviews I've seen. I'm sure it is well made and has lots of tech but; it's a Kia and it's over $100K drive away. It weighs 2.6 tonnes and it has a limited range for a $100K vehicle compared to a similar ICE vehicle. It's a 7 seater when households are getting smaller (the average is 2.59 people - call it 3). I get that it is an EVand therefore is gong to cost a lot more than an ICE Kia but as the reviewer mentions the badge snobs are not going to part with $100K for a Kia. All that said they'll probably sell heaps.
Lmao 100k starting price. Its a car not home mortgage. I was keen to buy this car since two months seen the advertisement. But they have only selected rich people. Kia 100k who will buy this car!!! If the price range was 50k -70k people would be more keen to buy. Only few will be on australian roads who has 100k cash in there wardrobe sitting not 99% australia only 0.5% will buy
How long does it take to charge the battery and at what cost?
Great car, crazy pricing!
Australian dollars $100K = £52K British Pounds

Nope, they are Li-Ion, not LiFePO4

The GT-Line spec you want is actually the Swedish market spec :)

Give me this interior I said patrol Kia telluride, and I’m sold! Of course minus those horrible digital Sideview mirrors
Sorry no way is this car worth 120K. never trust a car with no muffler!
Look amazing , but price expensive

It isn't the first, the Tesla Model X and Mercedes EQB were first!
Lol, he corrects the statement at 2:08
