Which one you think would have good sound quality for very low, clean baritone vocals? I am looking for a universal mic that will have good sound quality in both high pitch clean / screams and very low clean, sort of like Type o Negative / Rammstein vibes
Hey, for that low but clear sound like rammstein i would definitely recommend sonething like the austrian audio oc 16 as it is not as bright of s mic as the nt1a but it lets through more details compared to the sm7b :)
I just want to scream and transition to clear like it's nothing... SM7b for me ! EDIT : "I'm nowhere near or a good or professional " shut the $$$$ up bro you're amazing ! :O
I loved your video! Dude! I work in optimizing marketing and please do inserts of things like this at 1:00 in the very beginning as a "sneak peak" for your video. It will increase your retention rate and increased engagement for your channel. Good luck!
Hey! You can see my full plugin chain at the end of the video :) There was no EQ altering or anything, just a lo-cut and some compression to level things out :)
Heyho! Nope youre absoluetly correct :) the nt1a is because of its condenser characteristic and eq way sharper/has more air in general. This is great for sitting in the mix. However the sm7b has more low end which makes it great for poky/heavier stuff where you dont want details/or to many high mids as these are quite unpleasant when singing louder
@@Worgram thanks for the response man. Been looking towards a new mic. Something that fits my voice. Originally I was going to go with the Sm7b because it was the universal standard for a lot of people but with the new information I have the nt1a seems like a better fit for my voice. Not to mention that the sm7b is nearly double the price. 😂 thanks for saving my around 200 dollars
@@JayJoeVid4EVER Glad to hear that! Just be aware that the nt1a or any other similar mic is going to have alot more of your room in it! So make sure to have some acoustic treatment otherwise it will sound very echoy. Something like the sm7b, or generally dynamic mics don´t have that high of a sensitivity and therefore don´t pick up that much room :)
@@Worgram yea I've noticed that with mics like the Nt1a. I'm probably going to end up picking up some acoustic foam and just make a makeshift booth of some kind. Doesn't need to be fancy. Just needs to work. I'm also looking at a few interfaces. Deciding if the cheapo 50 dollar one will work or settle for a scarlett solo
@@JayJoeVid4EVER definetly get a scarlett! 3rd gen. They are well worth their money and their driver software is better than behringers for example^^ Regarding acousic foam: easier and better is something like rockwool. Its cheaper and more effective (every hardware store should have that) just put some stuff around it and its way better than the cheap but acoustic foam for example :)
Kind of unfair comparison since the price for the SM7b is more than doubled compared to the NT1-A. I'd like to see the comparison against the NT2-A instead :)
tbh. I think the difference wasn´t worth the pricepoint for me :D It´s not that big. Considering the SM7b is a different mic by design this is quite funny to hear. :) Unfortunately I don´t have a NT2-A :(
Honestly man my sm7b sounds horrible with the RME Babyface pro. Even with the cloudlifter. I’m thinking of switching to rode and just sound treating my lil corner I record in
I feel like owning both would set you up very well for multiple situations. I have the nt1-a, sounds great for airy vocals but lacks the overall warmth of the shure mic. Nice review man, thanks for the demonstration (you sound awesome btw).
Thank you very much! Yes having both is a good way to cover a whole range of different voices too! I personally would swap the nt-1a for a Neumann TLM 103 because then you would have 2 of the best Microphones in their own category and be settled for live :D
Wow, I wasn't expecting that. This guy can really sing.
u mean scream
he really do
You’re screams were insane!! 😱 dude you’re gifted!!
So pro vocal that mic doesn't matter anymore,
I actually preferred the brightness of the NT1A for the screams and the smoothness of the SM7B for cleans, great shootout
“I’m nowhere near a good or professional singer”.......few seconds later....
Haha Thanks ^_^
DUDE! You're scream is $$$$!
Man hört einfach raus dass du deutscher bist :D
Haha Alles klar :D
MegaWario jop
Habs erst gemerkt bei 'it has more punsch', geiler typ aber :D Abo check
Anyone else get Jack black vibes lol
"I´m not a good Singer"
1 Minute later...
Du bist nojoke echt gut in Screams und Clean Singing :)
Naaaw vielen Dank man! :D Am 01.12 kommt auch eine weitere Single mit Clean-Gesang von mir heraus!
Worgram ohhh schreib ich mir auf!
Pretty Big difference in The Price, but not in sound... Nice, ill go with The Rode. This was helpfull video, thanks!
Glad to help you make your decision! :)

Haha thank you my dude ❤️😂
That SM7B sounded better, especially for the screaming lol
that vocals bro
Like I said... I am NOT a good Singer xD
@@Worgram nono, your scream is incredible
@@edhardware Oh haha, thats very nice to hear! Thank you very much :-)
I can’t tell the difference cuz you are one hell of a singer
NT1A sounds better SM7B sounds more like a Broadcast Mic
Rode definitely suits your voice more. sm7b suits my voice. Hot sibilant in rode doesn't suit my voice
Where was the comparison tho 😅
Amazing screams 🎤🔥🔥🔥
Mein Freund. Du bist sehr sehr nice. Mag dich :)
hab n rode hab sehr oft gehört das rode schlecht dafür sein soll aber scheint zu funktionieren
The metal is so good
Thanks alot! :)
Haha, thanks for the shout out :D As always, nice screams bro!
Good voice :) little ‘false’ but nice
Sick screaming bro 👌

Dude make more music you ROCK!!!!🤘🤙🤘🤙🤘🤯
We’re those vocals mixed in any way?

Your voice is sick
Dude wtf that was fucking badass man
NT1A - Better
Okay, bro! Seriously. I hate screamo music. My fave bands are foo fighters, MUSE, silversun pickups. But you sound sicccccccck bro! Very gifted! 👍
Thank you very much dude! appreciate that! Also Muse is my favourite Band :D
@@Worgram hell f***ing yeah bro! Muse is by a land slide my favorite band live!
You are so fire
german my dude
You’re so talented !
That was sick!
You are good Man 🙋♂️
Thanks very much! :)
Great video man
Thank you! :)
Great personality
Thanks :)
1:09 SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH
rode nt 1a is better but of course for metal vocals normally sm 7b is better for rap or pop music
Not really
interface
Man merkt das du deutscher bist ❤😅
Wenn du jetzt noch das Bundesland herausfindest, bist du echt gut hahaha :D
Аж чёлка подлетает)
Could be the placebo effect but the Nt1a kinda sounds crisper and mixes in well with the higher frequencies in my opinion.

Can apollo twin x Pre amp Shure SM7B,
Plsss help me out with my confusion
Hey Bruno!
Yes this one should give enough power to amplify the sm7b enough.

Rode NT1A sounds way better. Sounds raw.
