I have a different way of making them compatible with cross overs, I used micro trains couplers from their 89 ft flats, cut off the claw end drilled and tapped a hole midway between bolster and end of car then fit shank from coupler to set length of coupler over hang drilled hole and mounted with 00-90 screw snug but allowing coupler to swing side to side, not a great solution for switching ops but works well for through trains
Body mount is nice. I have to say though the new intermountain units I got have truck mounted couplers and they have been handling switching nicely. Only tested 2 but so far I am really impressed. Not the biggest deal, autoracks don't really scream switching yard cars. I am limited on room so really shorter cars are my jam for switching anyway.

Think Kato did CP & CN versions of their aluminum autoracks too
Yeah I see them on ebay now and again but of course the price is jacked up. Current run Amtrack sets are selling for about half the price.
