Nice reaction and my favorite performance of this song. You will find that Queen’s live performances of a song can vary from the studio version. They thought that if fans wanted to hear the song live the same as the studio they could stay home and listen to the album. Perfect example is Somebody to Love. Listen to the studio version which is quite different than Somebody to Love live at Montreal which is an epic performance. The Milton Keynes performance is different than the Montreal. As a side note Freddie and Roger (drummer) were both sick during this concert. They had the flu and had fevers.
Welcome to the world of Queen. This band consists of 4 talented individuals. In this concert, I can say that the combination of Freddie's piano playing and Brian May's guitar playing is perfect. Queen is not just dedicated to one class or type of music. I suggest you check out "Love of My Life" at Wembley or Rock in Rio and "Somebody to Love" at Montreal or Milton Keynes Bowl, you won't be disappointed. Thank you for your great reaction.
This hauntingly beautiful song was written by lead guitarist Sir Dr. Brian May. It is based on a true story of a young woman he was very smitten with but never had the courage to ask her out and when he finally did, she was with someone. This is one of my absolute favorites from Queens early years. Thanks so much for reacting to my favorite band and frontman of all time, Queen! 🫶💙👑🌈

Then try the official video of “Somebody to Love” another must do before watching the live performances. After that you only have like hundreds of others to choose from. Enjoy.

I saw Queen several times beginning in 1975 and always amazing. Check out their second album, Queen II, and jump in the rabbit hole of Queen.
