Gear I use:
Guitar: changes by the video. i use a lot of fender, gibson, and strandberg guitars. but feel free to ask specifics.
Pickups: all of my guitars use different pickups depending on what suits them but i will say Bare Knuckle Pickups are my favorite and preferred brand. feel free to ask specifics
Amps: Fractal AxeFX 2 for the guitar tone on my covers, lessons, and original music . i almost always use Soldano SLO100 presets but sometimes some Friedman, Orange and others sneak in.. i dont typically use real amps anymore. certainly not in my videos just for convenience.
Strings: 9-46 are my main string gauge but i'll use 10-52 on Gibsons typically. i tend to flip flop between Ernie Ball and D'addario.
Picks: i tend to use .88mm Tortex but i'll use .60mm for faster strumming songs or for Bass guitar.
DAW: Reaper for all my recording software.

It’s kinda funny and a bit annoying to know that Toms riffs, and blink overall just got less and less technical as time went on. Shit like this and some songs in Cheshire and Dude Ranch just blow all the other riffs out of the water

I say this all the time, Tom’s best riffs are from Blink’s earliest projects.

@@jt519 The riffs were never technical. Single note picking is easy as it gets. I think he got better as time went on as far as dynamics go. That can make a song sound a lot better. Just my opinion though :)

@@drunkdrywaller7840 I agree they get more dynamic in their later songs, which is awesome. However some of their older songs are quite technical. The guitar work in enthused and touchdown boy are a good example

@@drunkdrywaller7840 Obviously, not Van Halen technical, but they surely were punk rock technical. Good Blink song always needs to have a melody driven by instruments, not vocals (just like majority pop punk songs). The beauty of Cheshire Cat/Dude Ranch era was that blend of simple power chord based lines and tight riffs stitching it together.
One More Time album has a couple of songs like that.
