You can’t compare two different things. With the Volvo you did the emergency braking test and with the Tesla the autonomous driving test. It’s clear that an emergency brake can’t react the same as the autonomous driving.
Exactly.
The Volvo was using adaptive cruise control, same with the Tesla. It’s actually a fair comparison as this is testing both system’s adaptive cruise control system. In many of the tests, the Tesla was not in Autopilot, and was purely using using adaptive cruise control, and not in its autonomous driving mode (Autopilot), so it’s a fair comparison.
@@cyurenes9961 i am a fan of the GV Aeb vids keep it up but the Volvo was driving normal unlike the Tesla which was In adaptive cruise control as you can see in the corner in the Tesla it says max 90 and in the Volvo it doesn’t also the volvos works at night now I think Volvo is a little bit safer then Tesla I still do think Tesla is extremely safe
@@20.wrangler39 Hey there, I appreciate that you enjoy my videos ! I will definitely improve upon it. Also, I would like to mention that the I have noticed some of these tests were unfair as there were times when the Tesla was purely using ACC, and at other times, it was using Autopilot, and same goes with the Volvo, when at time it was using ACC, and at other times cruise control was actually not enabled. Though the vehicle pulling out test was fair as the Volvo was using ACC as it shows in the dashboard, that the maximum set speed was 90 km/h.
I do think however that Tesla is safer than Volvo, as the NHTSA stated that Tesla’s 4 vehicles actually took the top 4 spots as having the lowest probability of injury of any vehicle that they have ever tested in any accident. And as far as active safety systems go, Tesla’s have a higher success rate when it comes to their safety systems, with Teslas having a 94% success rate over Volvo’s 80%+ success rate.
@@cyurenes9961 Ok I think so also I used to not like Tesla because of all the explosions but now that I think about it gas cars explode even more they just only talk about the Tesla’s because their electric
Volvo want drivers do not rely computer too much, because drivers need to take responsibility. PioltAssist is just to help, not replace.
I agree. I own a Volvo. My auto pilot is nice, but about every 20 seconds, a message appears on my headsup display to put my hands back on the wheel.
Well, the tesla costs near double the amount of the volvo, I would say the volvo achieves a nice result too
Actually, if we compare tow of the same level of equipment, they are very close. S60 T8 = 75K$
The Tesla model y starts at 50k
But Tesla has too Many features and it's ELECTRIC which is what our Environment needs dummie.
@@sonnylistenimaliwithnofigh2451 Speaking of what environment needs, in the last 20 years the planet has gone greener than ever before due to a higher level of co2. whos's the dummie now?
Volvo❤️❤️❤️
Tesla doesn't stop if you don't turn on autopilot. However, Volvo is monitoring all the time when you are driving.
Ähm no
@@pascal4190 I own Tesla model S and Volvo XC90. Tesla doesn't stop if you don't active autopilot.
ua-cam.com/video/x7Hp2zACGmg/v-deo.html watch from minute 2. Of corse the Tesla will stop. It’s called emergency break assist or frontal collision avoidance. And Tesla has one of the most advanced systems on market.
Jason How old is your Tesla? Maybe it’s not equipped with the system. But if you have Autopilot, it should. And you can disable the safety features in the menu.
@@pascal4190 My model S is 2015 with autopilot. When I turn on autopilot, my car will stop by itself. If I don't turn it on, it only gives me the warning sign without auto-stop. Is yours the same?
At 01:35 , driver turned the steering wheel, not the car.
Thank you Captain obvious.
lie
Yeah sure he did! Wtf
Does Volvo actively improve pilot assist on current vehicles or is how the system works going to be as good as it gets without purchasing another car?
I don't think they will 'upgrade' the current pilot assist too much. I drive it daily and it does what it promises. wouldn't want to miss it.
They should be releasing future updates yes
@@joshhvlogs3966 They actively improve it. But unlike Tesla they release a working Software on the Release so there is only so much you can do without needing new Hardware.
The Volvo warns of impending danger too allowing evasive manoeuvres
Well... clearly Tesla are few generations ahead of Volvo...
It's really not something that can be fairly compared, the Tesla has a full autopilot, while what the Volvo has is a pilot assist. One can drive the car for you, the other only intervenes in emergencies. Volvo has been working on a full autopilot for a few years, and it is my understanding that they are at about the same ability level as Tesla's system, however they have not done a mass production for public release yet, however, Tesla has put it into their production cars. Another thing to note is that Volvo's publicly released pilot assist is still ahead of all other brands besides Tesla.
@@wolfmaster6579 Indeed, Volvo won't put autopilot onl the market that only works half, like the tesla's do . Volvo is working closely with Luminar LIDAR technology , i think within a few year self driving cars will be all around. But just no from your house to another place 100%
@@bartdereu9267 they already have lidar technology and night vision cameras thats why the volvo can detect stuff in pitch black that the tesla won’t detect
@@coolsquad7428 tesla can detect in pitch black xD what are u saying
@@axelotlcute157 they don’t
Just compare prices of both of cars
Well I love my Volvo XC60 T6 R-Design! I wanted a very safe and reliable vehicle so I went with the volvo....
Только тесла у вольво купила технологию и просто откалибровали
Volvo is best
@@user-nb2rc6kb8b but it is
volvo beaten their own game
This is the model S, imagine the results now with the more advanced model 3!
Gromitdog1 Exact same.
Gromitdog1 model 3 isn’t more advanced. In fact, the model s and 3 and the entire line up include the same technology. If anything is different, the model s should be more advanced as it is the more premium model in the lineup.
Tesla at its Best !!
Neeee
Tesla wins !
I agree even though I am a Volvo fan.
