Good points. I should have mentioned in this video that this 65 litre bag is really on the "too large" side of things. I think I meant to say that directly when I was talking about the roll-up MEC bags. And I think having all the extra rain gear and safety gear is more geared towards coastal planters, although I do recommend that my planters at Folklore always pack their rain gear just in case, in many areas.
Actually, as a supervisor, I don't even have a day-bag. I have a truck. About half of the things in this bag are useful when I'm supervising, and the other half are practically useless. If I did have such a thing as a supervisor day-bag, the most important things I'd bring (in order) would be: Cell phone (with camera), GPS, tools, anti-histamines, pen and notebook, axe or chainsaw.
I'm confused why you'd say that? This is actually my planting day-bag; I've been coastal planting with it for two and a half months. When I said, "I'm not planting right now, so there's no lunch in it," I meant that I'd just had a shower and was done for the day. Earlier in the day, it had my lunch.
Lots of good information there.

And if you`re lucky, the sling will break on the chopper and you will have none of your stuff... I love this job.
