The Soloist has a certain sweetness to the sound, but I reckon a bigger tip opening would better suit you for additional projection. The Morgan was my favourite out of all of them
Nice little play test...I thought the Theo Wanne NY Bros 2 sounded the best here. I used to have a JJ HR* 6M but sold it because I thought it was too free blowing. Now I have a Morgan Jazz 5NY coming my way...
Soloist sounds less projecting than all. c* is much more closed compared to a jazz tip opening. All the medium chambers first four and Jody HR sound similar like straight ahead jazz. Maybe the Meyer is most muffled of that group. Jody DV sounds like you could take it to a funk gig for sure. Great comparison and good line up.
hello. I would like your opinion. I've been playing with a Jody Jazz HR mouthpiece for years and I'm thinking of switching to a Theo Wanne New York Bros. In your opinion which one is the best? which one did you like the most to play and sonically? Thanks.
Hey, I have a NY Bros size 6 for alto and while ive only played a JJ on soprano, I really do love my NY Bros. Its like a combination of the vintage meyers and I really enjoy it. dont know if I helped you too much but thats my opinion on the NY Bros.
@@zickyhart1348 , actually, Im going to buy one between Meyer and Jody jazz hr! Which one is brighter and which is more free blowing/ has more projection? ( betweem Meyer and Jody jazz Hr)
@@voltagestorm1787 Maybe if you're coming from the perspective of a Rascher-style player - e.g. using Raschers, Caravans, or Bilgers as a frame of reference...
@@voltagestorm1787 What I mean is, what are you comparing them to? Choose whatever classical mpc you like; unless you compare it to the large-chamber pieces I mentioned previously, it's not going to sound "bright" in the general scheme of things. Compare an S80 C* (we're talking about classical pieces, remember) to a "dark" jazz piece like a Meyer or a Link; the C* is dark by comparison.

Like the Morgan. Would like to try one
The Drake sounded very nice to me … very balanced and more InTune
I agree. I also like the Morgan a lot, it’s hard to decide between the two haha

Thanks🙏🏻 I’ve played a Morgan Jazz before, really good piece
@@zickyhart1348 Nice, I’ll be a bit disappointed though if it doesn’t instantly make me twice as good 😆
@@zickyhart1348 Good news - I got my Morgan Jazz in and I can confirm I'm actually twice as good now! ha
@@ChipTheMusicMan haha glad to hear it, Morgan mouthpieces never disappoint. Saw the demo on your channel, sounds good👍🏻
Meyer sounded very nice! For me Meyer NY is GOAT
For me Meyer and Jody Jazz DV
Morgan is good 👍🏻

Soloist is also a classical mouthpiece
Hello, is this Ted Klum mouthpiece a big camera or a small one? Thank you

Which is the brighter for you? And whats the second most brighter after that?
The brightest is the Jody Jazz DV, and then probably the Drake
