Another great reaction, Jeff! And thank you!! I kept going back to see if they ever show the drummer’s face. Finally I waited for the credits. It’s Larnell Lewis of Snarky Puppy! What a great lineup for a legend. Thank you for putting a smile on my face, Jeff!
I love the and have seen this somewhere before. I’m so so glad you did a reaction to it!!!! Crazy talent all around. This was filmed in Paris 2019 at AccorHotels Arena, and it brought together nearly 100 world-class musicians, including a symphony orchestra conducted by Jules Buckley. This performance is incredible. Thanks so much, Jeff 🤗❤
That was his 75th birthday event. Man what a show that was! Really suiting his importance in music history, he was playing, producing, writing, composing everything from Pop to Jazz to movie scores beginning from the 60s onwards and still has loads of musicians under his umbrella like most or all? of the soloists in this line up! What better can happen than having both Bass giants (both composers/arrangers too) of our times, Richard Bona - real name is Bona Penda Nya Yuma Elolo - and Marcus Miller together on stage + the magician Mr. Jonah Nilsson who can do everything musically on several instruments + singing like a bad MoFo??? I am still and eagerly waiting for the new release from Dirty Loops! It´s about time guys!!! ;-)
You see this is a Timeless song. Every Dance club I have been in, everyone is up on there feet dancing. What a cover man. You can't get any better than this. wow. Just a side note. My first year of collage, Quency Jones, played at my collage. 1973 a packed house of young kids ✌👍
What a fantastic presentation. Miller and Bona together...priceless. Jonah is the cherry on top. Marcus Miller is an epic player. Richard Bona is so under rated. Both deserve a standing applause. Jonah...yeah, just just doing what comes natural to him...knock it out of the park.
Yep, the collab between him and Sire is a gift to both beginners and pro Bassists around the globe. I myself bought 2 when they came out, so it´s the 1st bass generation under his name. Cost me 400-500€ each and they pack mostly every sound you need on stage and in studio!
Thanks, Jeff. A stellar band! The conductor is Jules Buckley from the Dutch orchestra "Metropole Orkest"; he often works with Jacob Collier. Jacob's mom Suzie Collier is seen playing at 6:06 and Larnell Lewis is on drums!
If you have not heard it yet, I discovered this song recently. An old cover of Christina Aguilera's "Dirty". Henrik goes nuts and Jonah has a high pitch I've never heard before. And then Aaron… I didn't know they were this good this early.
Whooooo, Jonah channeling a little Stevie Wonder there! ☺️ Although I’m usually enjoying and digging Jonah in his own element the most, solo or with Dirty Loops, doing his crazy vocal and harmonic thing, rather than on stage as part of such a mega event, but hey, that’s me….and still, his singing! 🔥 As for Marcus Miller and Richard Bona: one stage is too small for these two bass gods :) and yeah, I also love Richard’s playing on Jonah Nilsson’s “Coffee Break”, it’s insanely funky! Thanks for that reaction, Jeff, and for showcasing some more of Jonah ☺️ Someone gave me their Japanese edition of ‘Loopified’ for Christmas (most treasured present ever!) and it’s currently on repeat in my car. So I was wondering if you could (and not sure right now if you already have done so) do an analysis/commentary of their covers of “Roller Coaster”, “Circus”, “Ta Fetê”, or of “Where’s The Beat”? Also menacing, haunting (and maybe a little too dirty, but just so brilliant): their covers of “Dirty” and “Sexy Back”…. And as always, thanks again for this video 🙏

Hi Jeff, its been a while. Probably due to the fact that Ive seen more Dirty Loops videos than youve been reacting to. Obviously we both love DL and all the members. Here is a treat for you.
