Loved your presentation. My grandmother was Choctaw and she made my mother dresses out of flour sacks and embroidered them. I have a picture of my mother in such a dress and it has crosses, suns, diamonds, circles and what looks like candles, made of circles on it. At one time we had a picture of her mother, my great-grandmother in full buckskin or calfskin dress with long fringe, but someone took it. Do you sell the items you make? My 4 yr old grand daughter was invited to dance at next years Choctaw Pow Wow in Jena, La. One of the tribal leaders invited her. We have not had her genetic testing for Native American blood. Her dad’s grandma was Choctaw. My husbands paternal grandma was full blood Choctaw, his maternal grandma was Blackfoot. I would love to find out the family tree/ancestry.
