Unless I have been clear with a man about not being opened for any form of physical touch including kissing, I wouldn’t judge him for asking for a good night kiss. Asking is also insuring consent is giving instead of just taking. It’s a form of communication. I would judge him based on his reaction to my refusal because it tells me more about the kind of man he would be in our relationship. We can’t expect men to read us and then judge them if they fail the test. To me, that’s immature. If these boundaries are important to you, you should voice them them as soon as possible. They both have to communicate better.

If something is uncomfortable yet useful women can be reluctant to address things head on even if they mean well. Men abuse this system for personal gain even if women use the same system for self preservation.
