In regards to Reaper stating the Doctor is stupid for not using teleportation like in the 60th, two things:
A) It’s a new model.
And B) the sonic didn’t have teleportation capabilities in the 60th, the Doctor was intercepting an already existing teleport to bring the Wrarth Warriors to him..

Generally, old doctors will say something nice about the new person if someone asks for their opinion about new casting. But it is sweet. Given that Tom is only commenting on Ncuti's cheekbones and visual appearance, I expect he's got very little to go on except that whoever interviewed him just showed him a picture.
Everyone who is honest, male or female, thinks that Ncuti is a very handsome man.

I’m obsessed with Tom Baker’s reaction to Ncuti Gatwa’s casting, and I immediately thought of it when the Doctor bi-generated and Bonnie Langford’s character said “you’re beautiful!”
Edited to add that Sylvester McCoy’s reaction was also incredibly sweet and wholesome. I watched an interview with Paul McGann (who is also smitten with Ncuti) and he said as soon as his casting was announced, he received a text from Sylvester saying “Scots: 4, Scousers: 2!”

Honestly it always winds me up when Who fans become 18 or older and suddeny disassociate with the kid audience of the show completely and pretend it's some sort of adult Sci-Fi.

It will always be the show it was, and no Rees-Mogg clones, no Cartoon avatars, no melons, no beardy racists are ever going to change that. Because the classic series still exists, from start to finish, and I can still watch it, and see that the lies these alt-right grifters try to spread are lies.
The Jolly Arsewipe can try comparing Doctor Who to something we'd need an actual time machine to confirm, but thankfully our show about a fictional time machine still exists in all its glory.
It's always been a family show, for children, teens, adults and older. It's always been political, and it's ALWAYS been woke. It's always been one of the most progressive shows on TV, right from the very beginning.
Nothing they say can take that reality away from us, the true fans.

What's annoying is UA-cam forces that stuff down your throat. You don't even need to go there or watch any of them and they'll still recommend it to you.

The teleportation thing 14 did in The Star Beast is... I also forget the exact quote, but it's basically the same thing 9 did to Cassandra and Blon Fel-Fotch in The End of the World and Boom Town respectively (slightly different since that was reversing the teleport while this seemed to be hijacking its coordinates, but... Using the sonic screwdriver to teleport aliens using teleportation devices to himself is something he's been doing since _2005_ )

I used to think people fell for them, and I think that's true for some of their audience. But as time goes on I'm starting to realise that a lot of them don't need convincing, they made their mind up a long time ago, they just have the type of ego that requires someone telling them what they want to hear over and over again, no matter how repetitive it gets.
As a lefty, I grew up in a Conservative safe seat, with Conservative leaning friends and Conservative teachers. Even my more moderate friends still hold a lot of Conservative values. The echo chamber is the world for them, and any deviation no matter how slight is 'brainwashing'. I've heard so many call entire cities 'dangerous' because they visited to do some shopping and saw people that weren't white, or heard people talk in a different language.
The world not being exactly how they like it to be frightens them, so they need comforting from people like Nerdrotic and Bowelstrek to remind them over and over again that they are right and the world is wrong.
They will never admit it is they who live in the echo chamber, so they project it onto us for thinking critically and not simply accepting the world as they see it.

It's not everyone. There's plenty of people (of all ages, sexualities, races, etc) that disagree. I genuinely think if some of these people just left their hometown and lived somewhere else for a bit, they'd see how ridiculous their views are first hand. But you know, small rural towns where people don't have the money to leave, so they're stuck in these cycles. It's a UK version of Kacey Musgraves' "Merry Go Round"

The Doctor litteraly says what the sonic is doing in that moment of The Star Beast. Even then, this is an established ability of the sonic. In Boom Town, back in series 1, the Doctor used the Sonic to stop the woman slitheen (her name escapes me) from running away with a teleporter. This guy did this in his review of The Star Beast as well, so he's either just really dishonest or a genuine moron.

I think there's a certain desperation to those who suggest that Ncuti Gatwa was an exercise in "box ticking" or the like. He's arguably the biggest rising star in British acting right now and anyone who has seen his performance in Sex Education would not be able to dispute he's there 100% on merit while keeping a straight face. His acting resumé already packs more of a punch than many of the other people cast as the Doctor previously so any alt-right narrative that he's there for any reasons other than merit isn't just disrespectful, but it's incorrect to the point of being willingly obtuse.
Personally I think the BBC were lucky to land him for this role. Give it another 10-15 years into his career and he'll be the biggest star to have ever played the Doctor in retrospect, its pretty obvious to everyone that there's going to be massive film roles in store for him down the line. they missed out with Olivia Colman in the late 00's when her name was being bandied around as a potential first female Doctor but they snagged this guy just at the right time of his career. Enjoy his time in the role while it lasts I say.
Also worth mentioning that RTD literally said in one of the DWM interviews that they actually had someone else in mind for the role but because Ncuti's audition blew them away, they decided to choose him for the role instead. He wasn't picked just because he was black or gay as the rage grifters seem to be saying.

They will believe it's a box ticking exercise even if they saw every single audition tape one by one and saw with their own eyes and ears Ncuti was the best audition. I've dealt with these people who say things are going to happen and then they don't happen, and when they don't happen I've tried calling them out. Normally one of two things happens, either they try playing it down and act like it's not important “Yeah I was wrong, so?” or they just act relieved “Yeah it didn't happen, thank god!”

Like, yes. Long running franchises retool themselves to attract new audiences. That's not new, it's been the nature of how media functions within modern consumerism for decades.
Grown adults genuinely angry that a product (usually one that has _always been_ primarily aimed at children!) dares to be aimed at any audience other than them.
I don't think this is even an exclusive thing to far-right fandom menace-y circles, I see it in the LEGO community all the time.
And Doctor Who alone has retooled itself so many times that it's hard to count. For example: Patrick Troughton's acting style was way different then William Hartnell so he couldn't replicate what Hartnell did and that changed how the stories are. And by the time Doctor Who was off the air in-between the McCoy and Eccleston era, the way tv-shows were told changed drastically. So Doctor Who got with the times and abandoned the serialized format.
I remember the outrage when the new Ducktales launched. God forbid they revamp a 30 year old cartoon so the female characters get to do anything other than be kidnapped or defeat a villain with hugs.
Also classic who honestly surprised me in how intense it is and the shocking amount of kinda terrifying implications I think the people who say classic who was just a normal kids show haven't watched it since they were a kid

I used to watch some of these guys, but over these past few years, I have distanced myself from them. It is clear to me that they are contributing to the ongoing problems of sexism, racism and other types of prejudices that programs like Doctor Who are trying to move on from. Change has been highly beneficial for the program and without it, it wouldn't still be on the air.

looking back on bowelstrek... The police officer scene seemed more like the officer was on his 1st ever day or at least new to the job.
A very strong pattern I've noticed with cons commenting on fictional writing is how the very idea of dialogue from a character who isn't the villain not being the intended message of the writers isn't always the intention. Two protagonists disagreeing is an incomprehensible concept to these grifters.

It was a bit more plausible then because 9 literally watched them teleport and then brought them back - it also made for a good comedy moment both times. In the Star Beast, 14 just somehow knows they happen to be teleporting at that moment and waves his sonic to make them appear. It's not great writing.
