    Every time I make gravy, and it doesn't matter what meat you use, my best gravy happens when I brown the meat, add the flour and let the flour turn color. Add the milk and slow simmer just to the point of boiling. Turn way down and let it sit there till it gets thick. Slow cooking is the key to get max flavor. It's worth the time.

    I don't know how I ended up looking at sausage gravy recipes since that really isn't a thing where I'm from. I watched recipes that just had fried sausage and milk and I thought surely it must have occurred to someone to throw an onion or something in there! I'm glad I landed on this version. I made mine with rosemary (oops!) instead of sage, oil instead of butter, and threw some sliced mushrooms in there because why not. Everything else was the same as yours. It turned out amazing and I'm sure it'll be a hit. Thank you for sharing your recipe 😊

    I just did this recipe and it’s good. I took half of it and emulation blended it and it sent this recipe to a whole other level. Highly recommended omg so good ❤❤❤

    I made this is was fantastic. I put in touch of cayenne pepper and a small shot of worcestershire. The onion was the trick I think.

    I make my sausage first. Set aside and make my gravy in the same pan. Sometimes I have to add more milk or whatever. It feels "safe" that way. I'm gonna try this way. Wish me luck.

    "You are my kinda cook, nothing makes a HOME smell like it is being lived in like onions and garlic...I don't think there is a wrong way to make sausage and biscuits.use your imagination and use condensed cream of mushroom soup and embellish it your way after you let a little wine activate your taste buds...I usually make a mess of fried taters with a little celery, onions, garlic, salt and pepper. a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup flavored with a little onion, garlic, WORCESTERSHIRE sauce(any brand will do), some chopped green bell pepper and cooked up sausage (any brand and amount will do). A couple of eggs over easy on top of a biscuit cut in half and sausage and gravy over the fried taters with a stout cup of COFFEE is a meal fit for a KING or anybody else at any time. REMEMBER that everyone is an individual with individual tastes, so cook what you like to eat...
