Trying to get some extra information for my ceramics college class, struggling with the final project of 2 lidded jars. Any tips or tutorials for maybe centering while throwing as well as trimming? Also tips and tricks for shaping once you've made a cylinder without breaking it?
I don't have tutorials specific to shaping, yet. Nor centering, or re centering clay once you've started raising. Look up tunnel centering, that might help you. When shaping, just go easy. Phil Rogers used to call it "drawing in the air." Look that up on UA-cam. Great video. Just try to have fun with it. It's ok to have a jar just be a cylinder, too.
Excellent
IT LOOKS AMAZING ! Wish I could one day throw a perfect lidded jar like you ! Thank you for sharing
