Thank you for posting this! Thought I was going to have to reflash my pi. Unplugged all USB cords and it worked. Thank you

You may want to take a look at my other video on updating the pi firmware. It helps fix some (but not all) of the usb issues

@@aichangesit my next stop for my Pi400 giving all newer/verified images chips continuously reporting some failure to “open” or “access” USB ports 1-4 will be your video!

    Finally Got the solution,
It's problem because of power supply,
If not proper amp power is available than it's restart again and again,
    So change power adapter.

The later model 4's have USB 3 boot enabled so that could be looping with the A B switch trying find a boot file ?

Hi, I woke up to my pi4b+ File server dying, like dont know why but it just randomly decided to commit the seppuku for some reason, refuses to boot into any devices post-bootloader
The red light stays up but green light straight up doesnt blink
    Any idea why?
I tried removing all my usb, changing the microsd card with a brand new os burned onto it, was using the mains directly, it just stayed at the red light with no green light blinking

I had a USB Keyboard & Mouse plugged in & was getting the boot loop. I disconnected both, rebooted - and it booted fine for the first time. Funnily enough after that first boot issue with the USB Keyboard & Mouse , it now boots fine with them plugged in. It would appear to be a USB bug for when initially booting & first configuring the OS.
    I'm using a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB running Raspian.

Nice. I think mine started working also after I did all the pi updates.
I want to get the 8gb model. If like to see how it runs Ubuntu cinnamon. It was VERY slow on mine

I’ve got some issue I can’t figure out where it originates from. It runs all microSD cards I made (90% via Pi Imagur official utility) since I bought it at release from Cannakit. But the last 6 months, it will still play the older ones dandy, but 90-95% of the time after writing an image on several legit cards bought from in-store Best Buy/Walmart or delivery by Amazon, all Samsung Plus, Select, EVO, and Kingston’s and ranging from 32GB-512GB and all in between will pass verification (I have the official Pi Imagur update 1.7.1), and when I try them, I get to see the Raspberries up top, then the same error that repeats an inability to “open” (or “access”, I forget atm) USB ports 1, 2, 3 and 4. The screen stays on, but continuously scrolls the same error exact error message! I’ve bought at least 10 brand new, factory sealed Samsung and Kingston cards since the problem started and none work. I’ve also re-downloaded the images several times from several typically problem free sites/archives.
I’m going nuts! I was so ticked I was afraid I’d smash the pi400 in a rage, so forced to myself to walk away for a few weeks at a time before trying again, being sure the Pi OS and Pi Imagur are up to date, but nothing has helped. Could the actual USB controller unit inside be damaged? To me (a medium level pc user) that theory doesn’t make sense as the older chips run fine as do the mouse and control pad and keyboard.
At a total loss. Any help would be extremely appreciated! Thankfully my most important imaged chips still work or the machine would be useless.

This probably is a power supply problem. The power supply provided to the USB-C port can not deliver the instantaneous currents during start up, causing the Pi to restart repeatedly.
