+KoistOG it may be a nod to The Dear Hunter, whose second album deals with "the Dear Hunter" and Ms. Leading (misleading). the title itself seems to be an homage to Coheed, who I The Mighty are big fans of. the title of this song also sounds a lot like "The Lying Lies and Dirty Secrets of Miss Erica Court" from Coheed's Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV Vol. I album. fun fact: the main character's mother is also named Ms. Terri (mystery, because not much is known about her.)
You guys are the best you've been my new favorite band since this album came out... to be honest I just learned of you guys from this album but I have listened to every album you have out since then and I love 'em all. You guys rock!
Me singing to the song: "Misery, won't get the best of me.... *twitch* *twitch* CAUSE NOW I'M CALLING, YEAH I'M CALLING OUT YOUR BLUFF. CHOU!!!" I knew I had heard that chorus "feel" as I describe it. Billy Talent - This Suffering :P Once you hear it, it cannot be unheard.
Kind of surprised nobody is talking about how influenced this is by the band The Dear Hunter. They are notorious for clever titles (like their name) or songs like ms. leading (misleading). obviously i the mighty is a little heavier but the sound is similar. people keep bringing up coheed and cambria but im not sure anyone has listened to the two separately. i guess if high pitch singing makes the entire band sound similar then I guess theyre right...
Probably one of my favorite songs from this album~ Just a thought to throw out there, are all the songs connected in a way? Hence the album title Connector?
Soundize No, the title is reference to society and technology, how we're all so connected with each other because of technology; able to connect with someone across the globe and be in touch with everything that's going on, yet somehow being more disconnected from each other than ever before
Someone who made you feel Misery = (Miss Erray) So this song is about a girl who gets in a relationship with you and uses sex to make you do things for her, and when she messes up she uses sex to make it up to you (Break Up Sex). everytime you try to leave the relationship she just knows how to make you come back for more. e.g. Break Up Sex You'll think this is not such a bad relationship but normally the person is playing a game which involves (human manipulation) (cruel mind games) (bullying) (cheating) (domestic violence) (forced social grouping) (jealousy games) (love games) (toying with feelings) (Hatred) (Fake Love) This is what fucks you up mentally. ^ ----------------------------------------------------------------(This is the misery)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Now you're the only one who knows my future. Lift me up, or let me drown" = she uses sex to control your future. "but what's your game plan when time spoils those goods you sell? " = what's your plan when you turn old and spoils her goods that she sells. "'Cause I've found myself again, a new place to lay my head. So how you gonna make it up to me? (Hey! Hey!)" = I'm finally myself again and found a new relationship, how are you going to get me this time?
Definitely ripped off the Chorus both lyrically and melodically... "Miss Erray, you won't get the best of me." from Billy Talent's song The Suffering in the bridge.... "Misery, won't get the best of me." You "might" be able to argue an honest mistake, but not after you listen to the melody and inflection.... far to close to be accidental. Checked out this page because I saw they were opening for Hands Like Houses tonight in Indy....bad impression so far
Someone say Ms. Leading?
My nigga!
Miss Erray = Misery
Just got that, haha.
Oh my god...i wouldve never thought of that!
Justine Kennis Clever stuff! haha
KoistOG heard that too!

The Lying Lies of Miss Erica Court...wait...wrong band.
Jeremy Stuut Keywork tats adorn their ranks.
And Brent often visits the facebook fan groups.
Jeremy Stuut Exactly what popped into my head!
+Jeremy Stuut I just saw these guys with Coheed so even better
Seen them right before Coheed and Cambria took the stage. it's pretty obvious C&C are their inspiration
You guys are the best you've been my new favorite band since this album came out... to be honest I just learned of you guys from this album but I have listened to every album you have out since then and I love 'em all. You guys rock!
The title and the riff at 3:39 are so Coheed & Cambria, which is awesome.
More Dear Hunter tbh
Which is funny because coheed and cambria has a similarly named song
i love their love for coheed
I love how everyone in the comments are also obsessed with the riff in the second verse. Something about it is so good.
Why have i only found u guys now . This is great!!!
Made me think of Billy Talent.
The bridge to This Suffering, I knew it sounded familiar
Me singing to the song:
"Misery, won't get the best of me.... *twitch* *twitch* CAUSE NOW I'M CALLING, YEAH I'M CALLING OUT YOUR BLUFF. CHOU!!!"
I knew I had heard that chorus "feel" as I describe it. Billy Talent - This Suffering :P Once you hear it, it cannot be unheard.

lying lies and dirty secrets of ms. Erica court is a Coheed song. This songs title makes people think of that.
+Jacob Manley people compare Co&Ca with the Dear Hunter all the time! I'm sure it's no coincidince.
heck this is good
Wow all of their songs are amazing! haven't found i song i dislike yet!
Fuck me, this band is too perfect.
Probably one of my favorite songs from this album~ Just a thought to throw out there, are all the songs connected in a way? Hence the album title Connector?

Any idea what this song is about?

"Now you're the only one who knows my future.
Dankarlpang I love you! Thank you for taking the time to explain it in such detail
Great song maar moest denken aan Erray door de naam XD Melisa Dalila Omerovic
Awwweeee komt goed
Melisa Dalila Omerovic I love the song soooo much
I love that song but it's wasn't a wink of Billy talent Misery ?
Suffering sorry*
***** listen to The Suffering by Billy Talent. Some parts of the lyrics are similar. This song reminds me of that other one too lol
Does he say break up sex or wake up sex cuz wake up sex is so much better
anyone else hear bayside?
This is a huge nod to Coheed. Fucking fantastic!
My ass, i hope over 7 years youve somehow gotten an inkling of intelligence. huge nod to my left nut
The lead singer sounds so much like Shane Dawson singing to me
love the vocals...just hate that typical punk breakdown
+geddoe316 they dipped into their pop sensibilities with this album. to be expected.

actually the song or lyrics are nothing alike. I have never even heard of that band. they really aren't that popular.
