So true about the lighting. I moved my Hoya curtisii next to my kitchen window and it is now in full bloom after several years!

I struggled too at first, then it thrived, now back to struggling...lol hoping Spring will help her out. Yours is Amazing! I've never seen one with that sunstressed look or those crazy ass roots! I absolutely love it Nick. Ty for sharing, and the tips. Have a great week!

I love the curtisii, it's definitely in the top ten of all my houseplants. I got mine as an unrooted 3" cutting, stuck it straight into Pon in a self watering pot and as soon as it rooted and acclimated, which took about 2 months, it just romped away. Such a fast grower and one I would recommend for Hoya beginners. I'm loving these individual plant videos, so keep them coming 😁

Needed this. I’ve killed two of those plants and gave up. 😞 Yours is beautiful. I’m going to try again using your tips.
    Thanks!

I struggled with mine initially. Moving it to a north east window has made it so happy.

Hi Nick🌿Greetings from Poland! Your curtsii is amazing and the aerial roots are something I have never seen before 😂. Mine has some but nothing compared to yours. Thanks for another great video and see you soon, Irena.

Hi Nick! I ordered a tiny cutting off Etsy last year. It was in poor shape.. fell out of its pot. I cut it into pieces, put it into loose soil, and put it in my mini greenhouse. It's slowly doing great! It's really taking off now! I Love this Hoya! Thanks for the video!

I got my curtisii from Steves Leaves several months ago. It is doing well - possibly because I put it in a terrarium when the weather got cold. Recently I have been putting more of my hoyas set back from a West facing window that gets afternoon sun and they are happy with it so far. The curtisii will be joining them. Your plant is amazing..hope mine looks half as good.

Perfect!! I literally got a gorgeous little 4” one literally an HOUR before you posted this and I’m really excited to give her the best care. We have a resident one at my work that bloomed last month!

I just got mine at Home Depot today. Total random find. Been on my wishlist forever but definitely wasn’t expecting to find one in my local plant store. So excited to watch it grow!

I just got from home depot too. As you said a random find, also found a tricolor hoya. Hoyas hasn't been easy to find in my area locally. If I do find them they tend to be over priced

Love your Hoya Curtisii! Many thanks for this video. I purchased mine a little less than a year ago in a 4 inch pot. (It was not a full pot). 🙂. Her first year has been slow but steady and so far, healthy growth. Many thanks for the reminders on their care and for the tips from your experiences. I agree that natural light seems best for their growth. 👏🪴🥰

Hello Nick, I have this one and mine is growing like mad!!! I have her in my north facing kitchen window and she loves it. Now, my Hoya Kerri variegated is another story. ONE LEAF in 15 Months! I guess I should be grateful for that, but wow, one leaf in 15 months. :)

This one was my first Hoya! I picked it up because of you and didn't have much hope for it but it's thriving lower down from a grow light and sporadic watering from below. Thanks!

my hoya makes roots when it has nothing to climb on, as soon as they get something to climb on they will form leaves where there are only roots!! I have mine in a west facing window.
It exploded when it got a way to climb. And when it got around 1.5 meters i put them down to hang, mean of me maybe 😊

This has been a super easy Hoya for me from the get go, except propagating I have been struggling. Mine loves the southern window at my office. The window has a 2 foot awning and it's about 1-2 feet from the window. I live in MN and haven't had issues with humidity dropping. I am jealous of your sun stressed look as this doesn't quite get the right light to do so at work. I may need to get a longer chain it is hanging from.

I have had this plant few months and have been struggling! Im in Florida... Had it inside but wouldnt dry out. Started to turn yellow and had to take pot off to let roots dry before causing root rot which slowed the yellow. still scared to change the horrible soggy soil from the store but it needs it! I will get terracota pot but then i wont hang it because it gets so heavy. its in 6 inch pot size but currently airing out again. Had it inside the bathroom for extra humidity but had to take it outside to dry. 😢 Doing everything i can to preserve it. Im a bit in pa ic mode watching leaves turn yellow and fall off bc its such a full plant!

I keep mine next to a south faced window and only in winter takes some direct light for a short time. It is not sun stressed but it is growing constantly and I cut the vines which are full of leaves and small aerial roots. It looks to me weird that your hoya has vines full of large roots and no leaves. Maybe less sun?

This hoya drives me nuts. I've just had my second cutting die back to 4 leaves, which I will yet again root and plant back up. I'm completely at a loss with it. It gets plenty of light, well draining soil, but each time, they just dry up to nothing
