Solid album. I dig it. Say what you want about Tom or hellhamer maybe not as many solid albums as some of my other favorites but he made some f'in awesome jams. I think he's kinda underrated. Morbid Tales rules
in 1986 I was invited backstage by Tom Warrior.. ended up their tourbus, Voivod and another band, then I partied most of the night with the drummer of Coroner, the 80s were great. \m/
My life turns into sand Immortality is my dream Man shall follow my command Sorcery shall conquer my fear Astral magic and runic wand I feel that wisdom's near Across the mountain's ice Scarlett at the equinox' dawn I sacrificed an innocent lamb And drunk the wine of paradise But, still run the sands of time Just one thing yet to be done As spell surround me At a lightmass' night He raised the abyss Covered by the sword I sold my soul in vein I feel it, as he returns The sands of time will never run For an immortal dead man
it's all so beautiful and bleak, because if there actually were something beyond this life, why would we be in control of it, and why would it be something we'd find enjoyable? Eternity yields madness, whether for us or the gods themselves
@@rrbhYou do realise that Motorhead had already created the "d-beat" but discharge popularised it? Either way, Discharge's OG beat doesn't feature double bass. But yes, Celtic frost definitely heavily inspired by Venom and Discharge.
@@CarlyLondon88that's because visions of mortality is a true hellhammer song and not a celtic frost song and that is a true fact iam a hellhammer fan since Tom warrior and Martin Eric ain formed the band hellhammer.
Some bands have their album, like slayers reign in blood, sepulturas beneath the remains this is Celtic Frost at their best 🤘
Just like Mariah Carey's "Butterfly" or Kenny Chesney's "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems"
To Mega Therion did more when it came to experimentation and progression
I think I just fractured my neck . Thats a banger. Relentless groove .
Absolutely!
I catch them live in New York at BB King like 13+ years ago

My life turns into sand
Immortality is my dream
Man shall follow my command
Sorcery shall conquer my fear
Astral magic and runic wand
I feel that wisdom's near
Across the mountain's ice
Scarlett at the equinox' dawn
I sacrificed an innocent lamb
And drunk the wine of paradise
But, still run the sands of time
Just one thing yet to be done
As spell surround me
At a lightmass' night
He raised the abyss
Covered by the sword
I sold my soul in vein
I feel it, as he returns
The sands of time will never run
For an immortal dead man
You forgot… “RIGHT!!” 🤣

@@Daniel-cu9wj TRASH
I dig the thrashy nature of this album....
My favorite most listened to Intro ever
Hail to Discharge circa 1981.
I understand your inquiry however this is better
@@skinheadyouth66 Discharge's 'WHY' 12" from 1981 is the template. All others are just following in their slipstream.
@HadesMiscreant Listen to the drum beat used on Discharge's 'WHY' release from 1981 - it should become clear.
