Anakin tried reaching out to Yoda only to be more conflicted. With Qui-Gon Jin gone, he truly needed Mace and Obi-Wan for him to attain true balance in the force.
I have a theory that this is what Kreia was doing in the heart of Malachor 5 as the Exile was charging to meet her. As Kreia said herself, "Many things do I see as I gaze here from the heart of Malachor, this place channels such energies." I believe Kreia was using Malachor as a conduit to enhance her foresight abilities. This allowed her to provide the Exile, her most cherished apprentice, with a glimpse of the consequences their actions would have for centuries to come, whether comforting or horrifying. Moreover, this theory raises an intriguing possibility. What if some of the nightmares experienced by Anakin Skywalker were actually Kreia reaching out to him from centuries in the past? Through these visions, she could have been warning Anakin about the impending darkness that awaited him.
I am absolutely obsessed with these AI conversations. I have a fanfic idea in my head of Ahsoka traveling into the heart of Malachor V after being rescued by Ezra and uncovering the Trayus Academy, where she either encounters Keri's Force ghost (I doubt Kreia would ever become one, though) or comes across a holocron filled with her teachings. It's plausible don't you think?
What about Milo Surik (like Meetra Surik, but he has his own heart, and is a rival brute (albeit a usually benevolent one) of the True Sith)? He is a genetically altered human male (genetically altered by the loss of his connection to the Force, along with the Mass Shadow Generator) who has suffered through so much. I would use Jason Griffith (in a half-Shadow, half-Werehog Sonic voice) as the voice of Milo.
Kreia is right ... the Jedi are weak because they are afraid of the dark side. But more importantly she wants freedom, which is what the sith code is all about (the Force shall free me) and power, although unlike most sith, she doesn't let the pursuit of power or mindless cruelty distract her from the pursuit of freedom. That's why she wants to destroy the Force. Because while it grants great power, it also enslaves her to its will. That willingness to kill even the Force, despite the damage that it would cause, is what makes her the purest embodiment of what it means to be Sith. The path of balance is driving straight down the road where as the jedi and the sith smash their respective guardrails occasionally going off the road. Which is what happened to Anakin he just went from one guardrail to the next whenever it suited him.
She really would’ve been his perfect teacher. She would’ve taught him to embrace the dark without falling victim to it. Truly, she would’ve also called Palps out on his BS and saved the galaxy.
Anakin being guided by Kreia would be both amazing and terrifying. Whether he’d end up being manipulated toward Kreia’s own ends or finding balance, it’d be fascinating to see.
The Dark Side is a corruption of the Force, but that does not mean a Force Wielder who is human and alive is doomed to become evil. Balance isn’t just between Light and Dark, but Balance of who you are. Embracing your emotions isn’t the same as being consumed by them. Balance means absolute control over yourself, not the world around you. And Corruption or not the Dark Side isn’t without use, as unlike an actual drug, it can be used to defend yourself. Kreia was the teacher Anakin needed.
I know that's the canon explanation on account of Star Wars being mainly a western culture fantasy, but the fact that the dark side is a "corruption of the force that shouldn't exist" is so dumb to me: a childish way of viewing the universe. Violence, anger, hatred and passion, even though negative in nature, are still *part* of nature, part of what makes an individual. To reject them and claim the force can be corrupted that easily just makes me think nor the jedi nor the sith ever understood what exactly the force was. To me, it shouldn't be peace or chaos; it shouldn't be dark or light; it shouldn't be good or evil. It should be everything that has ever existed, no matter its perceived alignment. Rejecting nature and calling it corrupt just because it's "evil" and "destructive" is childish.
That’s where you are wrong I’m afraid. I believe that that “Nature” misconception is mainly because it’s called the “Dark Side”. Side as in naturally part of it. But in reality it isn’t true. It has really nothing to do with emotion. It’s unnatural, because Sith use their dark emotions to twist the Force Against it’s will. Why else would the Dark Side corrupt the people who wield it? It physically degrades them because it isn’t natural, it’s a drug so to speak. Think about it like fruit juice. Fruit juice is meant to be drank. You CAN inject it directly into your veins, but you’re not supposed to as it’ll cause side effects. Likewise, the Dark Side’s existence isn’t natural, why else would the Force itself conspire to destroy the Sith? Besides considering it’s literally something George Lucas confirmed to be the case, I’m inclined to believe him over you, sorry.
What do you mean? The Force has always turned against the Sith. Here’s the thing, it’s nothing to do with ideology; it’s the fact that the Sith use the force in a way that wounds the force. That’s what the Dark Side is, the Dark Side isn’t just, being angry and going braaawwrr. The Dark Side is using your anger to fuel yourself, then pouring said anger into the force, creating the Dark Side. Turning the energy connected to all life into a weapon to destroy, is corrupting it. I don’t mean metaphorically, I mean literally. The Jedi may be morally corrupt but the Sith are Morally and Physically Corrupt. That’s why their bodies degrade, the Force is ravaging them for bending it. It is “A Sickness that no Sith should wish to be cured of.” as one said. Plus, that’s how Anakin was made. The Sith tried to create Life through the force, and the force bit back, obliging them by creating someone destined to destroy the Sith. Later, Darth Vader would kill Sidious and die himself, taking the Sith Lineage down with him.
