I own the motu m4 and audient id4 mkii. Both are really great ones for the money, but if you can get a thunderbolt interface for your mac then don't even think about usb. The latency is not even comparable on thunderbolt!

Roughly said a comparison between Phillipp Blom's "Eine italienische Reise" and Edmund de Waal's "The Hare with the amber eyes". It's about the texts of course but also about the objects they describe.

The Imac M1 is not very good for music. A friend of mine sold this one, he says nothing from VST for him. There are no plugins. And in general, he is braking, even in comparison with his previous 27 Imac i9, a complete
All the plugins I used on my Intel Mac continue working on the new one, I was able to open the old sessions without any issues. So it works for me!
@@MilianMalivukMusic He had problems with the Kontakt 5-6 Library, VST Drums and Bass guitars, many filters simply did not work or were very slow. There is no optimization, he sold this Imac and bought an ordinary PC for music for money, which came out more powerful and more efficient. New M1s are very raw and are inferior to high-performance x86 / 64
@@user-kl3is8xg8u I had some issues with Kontakt but now it's all sorted. I ran Logic Pro even without Rosetta for months without problems.
Raw is definitely the wrong word in my opinion, it could not be sleeker in fact. it's just the beginning. Of course a 3500€ i9 iMac handles the stuff fine if not better but that's just because we're still in the transition phase to M1 and M1+ etc silicon chips. It's definitely the future.
