Thanks SM! Yeah I have tried to figure out how they are doing it, but either way I think it most likely takes a lot more work than any other silver bars out there.
Taking a break from pouring today and found this while poking around in the side bar. I love these chunky pieces Like you I have a bunch of the 5 and 10 oz pieces. I love em and esp the 100 gram poured pieces. All great ! Even 7 years ago you knew silver was the way to go. You are the main reason I got at stacking silver hard. Having the stacks value basically double in the last year price wise was great for all of the stackers out there for sure eh. Take care eh.
It's great to hear from you my friend! I'm glad that all of us older stackers that have been at it for awhile have finally been vindicated lol... We went through many years of people laughing at us for stacking a shiny rock. Who's laughing now lol :)
@@TheSilverSlacker After amassing over 450 std. lbs. of the shiny it turns to being 900 now (price wise to liquidate) Silver truly rocks and when it will hit 50 bucks OMG. My will just got crazy great for those involved. I may even get a new set of wheels eh. At just 65 years now I believe we will see it. Woohoo on us eh, LOL. Have a peek at my new video on Sterling Chopsticks if you have time. Fun ones to do but lots of cleanup..
I know this video is a few years old... but this was a GREAT Showcase! Those Tombstones are LUSCIOUS man! Love how they are each unique. When ya put them 10 oz-ers all in a row... it looks like grandma's loaf of baked bread... MADE OF SILVER
Love the unique hammered finish on these bars... The next two silver bars I buy will be a Tombstone Nugget(either 10oz or 1 kilo), and a Scottsdale kit-kat bar(either 10oz or 20oz) Scottsdale seems to hold a good reputation over the years. They have some of the most desirable bars, from what I've read in the comments.
The sides of the bars are totally awesome, it kinda has a similar look to the way fresh silver ingot as it's coming out of the ground, but in a 100% pure silver fashion.
Very cool bars. I just started stacking and can afford to catch up really quick to some big collections out there, think I'm gonna buy a few of these soon. That kilo bar looks awesome! Great video.
Silver Slacker I ordered two of the 5 oz tombstone bars last night from Apmex (free shipping right now). You are right, they are cheaper there than on Scottsdale's site. I'm looking forward to getting these.
Those tombstones looks nice. I'm going to add a bunch to my stack. Thanks for sharing, I really like your videos. They give me some ideas for future savings. Have you looked at or bought the 5 oz king tuts yet?
i just ordered a 5 oz one at 1 am on a friday night lol.Well i guess its better then spending it at the bar like everyone else my age.If i like this one i am gonna order the kilo.
Ya but you teach me a lot cant stop but i have a target of 5000 oz was 1000'recently already at 2500 but focus only vintage poured so it will slow down hard to find great vintage at reasonable premiums a nd vs one of your videos you suggested 2-3 over spot so trying to average that i do appreciate all your education and time as i am sure all your subs do
so much fun, I love touching my bullion. I don't give a shit about gloves. Pitty about the stuff in assays when you just wanna put your hands on it now lol. Those Scotsdale bars look great, gonna look for them now, proabably not available
Yeah I love touching my bullion also! They are still available at Apmex if you are interested: www.apmex.com/search?q=Scottsdale%20Tombstone You may find them cheaper elsewhere though, I don't know.
I have a question got a few 5 oz's like these and want to order bigger ones from a dealer. I keep hearing scotsdale takes forever to ship, sells fakes, yada yada and ampex makes order mistakes alot. You have delt with alot of dealers so which are the best? Pros and cons?
Clay Mccartney Scottsdale does take forever to ship, but they surely don't sell fakes! They are the mint themselves. You will find fake Scottsdale products on eBay though. I have ordered through Apmex a lot and I have never had any problems with them. So if you want it fast I would suggest Apmex as you are not really going to find it anywhere else besides Scottsdale or Apmex.
Silver Slacker your videos sold me on tombstones. I use to do silver and gold eagles only. Now i just want to get bars. I like the look on some bullion nowdays. How long is a long time shipping with scotsdale and the others? Do they make you sign for delivery? I want my stuff not left on my porch and had a place leave a coin package once. If i wired alot i dont want to hear its lost. My daughter wants skulls after ur videos lol. So do my non silver friends. Are both free shipping? I notice the both have tombstones same price but the kilo scotsdale stackers are not at apmex. Which is one reason im going back in forth on deciding
Clay Mccartney Scottsdale can take up to a month or so to ship out if you mail a check. Apmex takes about a week for a check, or the next day if you pay by credit card. I have always had to sign for all of my items from both companies. To get free shipping you have to order $500 with Scottsdale, or $99 through Apmex.
That would be a lot of poured silver :) I did do a full MK barz full stack of just their stuff which was over 1,000 ounces. ua-cam.com/video/Ac9L93JAhNo/v-deo.html
I was hoping someone would be able to give me the answer to this question. I've asked this on other videos but unfortunately all I got were bragging responses from people and no real answer. Why Apmex? Are there special deals that are not announced? I have compared their prices with several other websites and I have never really seen a lower price from them. That being said, their prices are usually within a dollar of their competitors but still.. Any thoughts? Thank you.
Kevin J I agree with you. Apmex is normally more expensive than other places for almost everything. I normally only order from them when they have something in stock that I can't find anywhere else. On these tombstone pieces, if I remember correctly they were about the same price on Apmex as the Mints own website. Here are the links with todays prices, and they are fairly close. www.apmex.com/product/84777/5-oz-silver-bar-tombstone-silver-nugget www.scottsdalesilver.com/store/product.php?productid=17557 So with prices that close I would still go with Apmex because Apmex ships fast with free shipping, and Scottsdale mint is notorious for taking about 6 weeks to ship the product. I hope that clears things up for you, but for main bullion dealers, I far prefer Provident Metals or JM Bullion.
Silver Slacker Those were my exact thoughts, thanks for confirming. I've never been to JM Bullion before so I'll have a look. My primary reference site for prices is Provident Metals but sadly, I mostly do window shopping and rarely get to buy anything. If I was to do my own unboxing video, well let's put it this way.. this message took longer to type than my unboxing, and I can type 80+ words per minute. lol To my surprise, I found a site that is better than Provident Metals on some items... bullionexchanges.com/ .. a word of caution, if they get your contact information a sales rep will call you EVERY month to see if you need anything.
Silver Slacker If you ever decide to give any away as gifts, my address is......LOL. I fricken love these bars! I ordered 1 @ $117 but have been stackin coins & not many bars lately. Definitely gotta get some more of these! Thanks for the silver porn fix buddy, I was fiending really bad!!
Silver Slacker I ordered 1 through apmex on eBay when they first came out. Saw the listing right after it was posted. It was like $122.68 but I used a $5 eBay coupon.
Silver Slacker yeah I wouldn't pay more than $116 for one today.... just kidding...;) I was gonna buy 1 from Scottsdale the other day but opted for the box. Golden eagle oversold me 2x 2013 5oz snakes so I may pickup a couple more 5oz tombstone bars with the refund, either that or a vintage pour off eBay.
Just curious but does anyone have a story of what eventually people do with all this silver and gold? Cash it in move away, dram vacation, pay the mortgage?
Silver Slacker my grandfather in the old country, who passed half a century ago, buried his gold and silver, taking the location to his grave, now someone is rumored to have dug up the old family estate and is living as a millionaire, not sure if theres anything we can do
That's not true. I just did a full stack video of all of my Scottsdale bars a month or so ago and I still have all these bars. Over 1,000 oz's of Scottsdale stuff ua-cam.com/video/wxJoIx-jQjI/v-deo.html
Very cool video and it is amazing how the edges are different and unique to each bar. I too would love to see how they are made. Great unboxing!!

I love watching the classics over and over again! Lol, inspiring!
+lllSilver Hunterlll LOL thanks :)
Just received my 1st 5 oz er love the canvas bag nice touch and the bar is awesome the 15 dollar premium not cool.

OMG im now in love with tombstone silver bars, regular silver bullion bars are too perfect and shiny, those tombstones are rough & edgy, NICE!
Thanks, yeah I like the bars like this. It is another reason I like poured bars instead of pressed.
At first I couldn't get excited about the tombstone bars, but now I really kind of like them. They're so unique.
Yup, the are definitely unique, and I really like unique silver!
Silver Slacker That's where the money is made. :)
I never knew anything like this was available. I must start a collection. Thank you.
You are very welcome and yeah they are super cool!
Drooling while watching this...
LOL thanks bud!
Nice bars! very unique I like the shape and design of them...may have to pick some up.
Thansk Shhilver, yeah they are pretty cool.
Those bags would be perfect for silver dimes and quarters.
Yup, they can definitely be multi-purposed!
Great design. I've noticed the premiums are a bit high
I have grown very fond of these bars. I missed my window over the cyber sale weekend, but planning on putting an order in soon. Thanks for sharing.
You are very welcome StackMaster G, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Silver Slacker I ordered two of the 5 oz tombstone bars last night from Apmex (free shipping right now). You are right, they are cheaper there than on Scottsdale's site. I'm looking forward to getting these.
Love me some Scottsdale Silver.. Nice purchase, thanks for sharing.
+Bullion Calculator Yup, they are one of my favorite silver companies.
Awesome bars SS. Loving those little 5ozers. Very cool.
Thanks, me to!
Cool bars, sweet looking stack.
Those Silver Bars are Very Cool Indeed .
Thanks MrUlfang, I'm pretty happy I was able to pick them up.
So fuckin cool. Looks like something you'd find out west back in the 1800s
You did it again got me interested in another new thing these are cool
LOL well you might want to stop watching my videos then :)
These are awesome, need to get some
The bags are great for keeping Constitutional Silver in.
very cool! I would like to get some soon. Still waiting on my tube of bisons 1.25 oz.
Thanks, yeah I only picked up 5 of the bisons, but I should have them in soon.
That kilo bar looks amazing!
Thanks!
@@TheSilverSlacker just curious, still have it?
@@xXxJSCOTTxXx Yup, still have all of them.
@@TheSilverSlacker good for you!👍
These are growing on me. think one of each size will do it for me. I gotta get a safe still.
Yeah I really like them. They are unique and I like having different things in my stack.
love those bars. Not seen any uk sellers offering them, but suspect the premium will be too high here. thanks for sharing
Yeah they are really cool, but they do have a little bit of premium even here in the US.
Gosh I want one, but they are so expensive to me. $109.77 from APMEX
I *WISH* I could buy 5oz silver bars at that price...
These bars are really cool!
Awesome Goodness. Thank you 🙏
Very cool bars. Great video.
Thanks Chris!
they use sand in the molds to make the cool divots
+Tom Jones Very cool, thanks for that info!
Show us your full staking an where do you put your silver
Those tombstones looks nice. I'm going to add a bunch to my stack. Thanks for sharing, I really like your videos. They give me some ideas for future savings. Have you looked at or bought the 5 oz king tuts yet?
Thanks, and yeah I have looked at the king tuts. They look really cool, but I haven't bought any yet.
where I can buy something of it ?
Very nice!
Thanks!
i just ordered a 5 oz one at 1 am on a friday night lol.Well i guess its better then spending it at the bar like everyone else my age.If i like this one i am gonna order the kilo.

haha. It should be in this coming week SS.I prob will make a unboxing video along with a few other stuff i have coming in.Be sure check them out.
Andre I like Silver Sounds good, I just subbed so I can see it.
Great bars! Is that a new table? :-)
Thanks, not yet, I put a couple screws into it so it would last for a little while longer while the wife finds one she likes on sale :)
Those Tombstones are awesome!!
I agree, I really dig them!

Who makes the nicest bars.... I was looking at Valcambi
That all depends on your tastes.
Silver Slacker what do you mean? What do you like personally and what is the nicest bar for the lowest premium
Nice.. but such a hassle moving large quantities of silver. I'll stick with gold
I want to pick up a 5 oz tombstone. Do you know if they are any company's that ship to the UK? Thanks in advance
I would think that APMEX does. You may want to check them out. If not, then I don't know :(
Just awesome!

Anybody know how these are made?
99% sure they probably do some sort of sand casting
Ahh, I don't know much at all about sand casting, so you very well may be right! Is that more expensive than just using regular casts?
Just curious but does anyone have a story of what eventually people do with all this silver and gold? Cash it in move away, dram vacation, pay the mortgage?
Everyone stacks for different reasons. I plan to slowly sell it off when I retire in about 20 years to help keep my standard of living the same.
