- Sights and Sounds from Day 1 of the Dubai CrossFit Championship. Athletes took on two workouts inside Ski Dubai Thursday morning. The indoor ski resort presented many challenges to the athletes as they had to deal with running up and down the slope in snowy and icy conditions. Ricky Garard swept the two events in his first action in four years while on the women's side Sam Briggs showed why she's called the "Engine", winning Event 1A, and Kristin Holte showed her Norwegian roots and her love of running were a perfect combination in her Event 1B victory.
Leaderboard after day 1:
1. Ricky Garard - 200 | Sam Briggs - 185
2. Roman Khrennikoov - 190 | Kristin Holte - 180
3. Willy Georges - 175 | Laura Horvath - 180
4. Lazar Dukic - 165 | Mikaela Norman - 170

This honestly looks kool… I also didn’t know it snowed in Dubai , I thought it was in a desert.
Why is it so hard to watch this full event? You would think DCC UA-cam page would have much better coverage. Sounds like there is some real opportunities here.
Logistically it would have been hard to livestream the first Day. They had a limited time to use teh venue. Day 2 and Day 3 will be livestreamed though.

Doing ski-erg in a ski station, in Dubai, i love Crossfit but this is a bit too paradoxal for me.
Any idea how to watch it live this weekend?
They streamed these first 2 events on their instagram, the rest are supposed to be streamed on the dubai crossfit championships youtube channel (tomorrow morning at 6 CST is the next one)
Does anyone know if they are streaming these events? I looked last night but couldn't find anything... DCC is really dropping the ball and missing a great opportunity to grow as an event right now.
I have no clue what Jeff Adler was saying but I felt his pain. That workout looks like a painful one.
