I would like to try the Saveopoly that looked like fun.. n the one with the zero out sounds cool... thanks for the video... I think on Mega Monopoly when u hit gifts put a small amount away to treat yourself when u feel the need
I’ve never heard of the save-opoly or the Wednesday weather challenge. I live in South Florida. I would be one sick puppy saving our Wednesday weather amount cause it’s hot down here all the time. 😂 😂
😂 Right!? We over here in Hawaii and I am NERVOUS 😬 but I need to save like crazy this year so it’s time to get this thing done!! Love love love your channelllll. I’m one of your day oners 🙌🏾
I’d love to do the first one. I get paid every two weeks. PLUS my job let’s me view my paycheck 2 days before I get it so I get to budget my funds be fore I get it. The weather challenge though!? Just goes to show that you can save money ANY kind of way! I love it!
I am READY for 2021. 2020 was the first full year of monitoring every single penny we have. The power in that blew me away. I love these challenges too!
That zero out challenge is SO SMART!!! I usually just keep the money in my cushion doing nothing so putting it into savings is so smart. Definitely adding that to my 2021 challenges :)
You opened my eyes! I had seen the 52 week challenge and knew I couldn't do it but it never dawned on me to cut it down to manageable bites by how I'm paid. I also had been doing a zero out challenge but again, it didn't occur to me to track it. Thank you girl!!!!!
Eeeeekkk!!! 😆 welcome hon!! You got this. Love the budgeting community. If you need more help, just watch some of my other videos, DM me on IG or check out my website! All links are on the Beacon link in my bio 🥰
I love the Wednesday weather challenge. I’m doing several savings challenges and this is something fun and different. I’m in the Midwest so current temps are in the 30’s but sure to dip. Great idea!
I did the nickel challenge in 2020 and loved it!! I did add up weekly. Towards the end I added up the remaining amount I needed to save and divided it by the remaining months and saved it that way so it wouldn't be so heavy at the end. I also did the penny challenge but I added it up monthly and transferred from each paycheck to savings. I LOVE the weather challenge and will be trying it for every two weeks.
So far, I've started budgeting by using a budget planner . I use the 50-30-20 rule as well as live below my means. I'm going to try your first challenge and see how much more i can save!
I just finished getting the envelopes for my 52 week challenge ready. I just have two more payments on my mortgage, after my buget will include a regular amount to my saving accounts. Plus, I have two savings envelopes for an emergency account. One for $1,000, which I just met and the second is going to be $500. This all on my Social Security and a pension of $90.49 a month (the union went broke). I thought there was no way I could save money until I woke up. The bank send me a letter saying that I have 15 years and 11 month to finish paying off my mortgage. I just pretend I am poor so I will not be.
Four corners should be fun. I think like a date night. While it's not savings it can break up the stress and and you can challenge yourselves to sticking to the value of the dice.
I have been furloughed since March 2020, but I plan to do as many of the challenges as I can. I am currently doing a 52-week challenge, which will almost pay off one of my student loans. I am going to start the 365 challenge tonight and work on setting up the zero out challenge. For the Mega Monopoly, I would use the corner parking spot to save for the Tesla, the two jail corner spots to save for emergencies, and the go spot to save for the mortgage.
I love the zero out challenge, I'm definitely going to try that. I like the Wednesday weather challenge too!!! I'm going to do the 5, 10, 20( save 5 week 1, save 10 week 2, save 20 week 3 and then start over. Save 5 week 4, save 10 week 5.....) challenge this year, as well as saving $40 a week.
I do the $5 challenge and its a nice way to save money that adds up. Here's the concept... you are never allowed to spend your five dollar bills. Any time you receive one in change or at the bank you must stash it away in an envelope in secret spot in your home. It adds up and its a great way to discipline yourself.
Yes few of us been doing that for a while but we do it 7 days a week . 4 people that are on a fixed budget like Social Security SSI temperature is 50 degrees outside the first day the second day it's 48 the third day is 32 we add that all up for seven days and whatever the total is put that away for that week and it's summer time it could get pretty hot. But it's fun and it's nice it's that's the way a lot of people on SSI and Social Security do this and what's fun about it it's a nice little paycheck at the end of the year
These are some GREAT savings challenges. In 2021 we want to save for a downpayment for our new home and also continue to build up our emergency fund that we started in 2020. We are also saving to buy a new car so these challenges are going to come in handy. Thanks for sharing!!!
I’m dreaming so big!!! 🤩 I’m counting on my meal prep to free up some money. I’ve been binge-watching your channel and Debbie’s & Jans & others. We cooked enough food for a week last night. Test run 🏃♀️
I’ve never heard of the zero out challenge but I love that idea! It’s so easy and could help build our family savings!!! Thanks for sharing all these ideas!
Doing the $4100 in 52 weeks Challenge. This is aside from my budgeted $200 a month savings for my EF which already has 6 months expense funded. Goal is to have 1 year expense in the EF fund. Happy New year!
@@RochelleAdamson thank you!!! We are getting there! Love watching you take UA-cam over with miss Tanisha and Miss Asia. You guys are going to take over UA-cam in 2021
OOhhh good idea. I just started keeping money in our account this year because we pay our bills one month ahead on autopay. I"m still trying to decide on that.
I was already planning on the 52 week challenge but I'm going to add zero out & Wednesday weather but living in New England I might not get much profit but I'm doing it anyway for the fun of it. Thank you for the information.
Thank you so much! Next week I am gonna make up my own weekly challenge called the 6 week challenge.. since I am only 11 I am gonna try this! Thank you so much!
Saving every coin dollar that I get in 2021 6 month challenge for me. After that save 6 months start. Great saving ideas I like the nickle one and the 26 wk one. Have a great day.
Great video! I have not heard of the Zero Out Challenge and I am in LOVE! LOL! I think I am going to add to my already challenges. I have also not heard of the Weather Challenge. Wow, these are so creative. I also am a new subscriber!! And before I leave...Congrats on almost being done with paying off your house!! That is AMAZING!! 🤗
Thank you so much!!! I love your channel 😆 thanks for showing my channel some love. I can’t wait to get these challenges going. Posting another savings challenge video on Tuesday to give a little more in-depth view on how the challenges work. yasss #teamzerooutchallenge
We eliminate debt by cutting out most everything and focusing completely on that debt. In 6 years of marriage we have two debt free rent houses and 2021 is to blast through our mortgage. No big savings goals. We have a good cushion for expenses saved. Laser focused on mortgage
Order two of 100 sided dice from the Role Playing Game site. And Roll both of those dice and what you roll is what you'll have to save away. Do this every week.
New subscriber here. These sound like fun. I may add some of these to the boring way I save 😊 I am a senior so I think I will start with the Wednesday weather challenge once a month. I am in the southeast USA and it is HOT so I should be able to save some 😊 Thanks for sharing these. Have a blessed day!
Aww I’m so grateful and appreciative I been following you for a while and love your channel And content you’ve inspired me too start my channel. Thank you thank you thank you for the love and support
i’m trying the hundred/dollar challenge. my main focus this year is getting a car. so every paycheck i get i put whatever the hundred amount is in my savings and keep the dollar amount in my spending which is harder to build up spending amount but that’s the challenge and discipline i’m using to get to my goal. as i am only 16 and a part time worker it’s going to take some time to get there but it’s not impossible. i also do have a business (lashes, bangles, lipgloss) so anytime i get a sale that money goes straight to my savings account so i don’t touch it
and if they pay using paypal that will go to my spendings so i can use that money to buy inventory. and if they use credit that’s what goes to my savings
I really enjoyed this video. thank you!! I shared it on our church website. I'm sure it's going to help a lot of people. I will be doing some of these challenges!
I’ve heard of the Nickel Challenge. The Budget Mom actually has a version of it in her 2021 Kid’s Savings Challenges for January. Basically the same thing but only for the month of January. I’m rooting for you on all these savings challenges. I have several lined up for 2021, nothing quite as ambitious as you, but we’re still getting our budget in line. Hoping to save enough to replace our furnace. Looking forward to following your progress and being inspired.
Your video popped up on my feed! Definitely subscribed :) This video is perfect for savings challenges. I think I’ll try your 26 week challenge. One challenge that I adopted last year was the “raffle” money challenge. So I get paid 26 paychecks in a year (bi-weekly) and I wrote down different amounts on a piece of paper and would draw out of the jar every pay day. I used 4 x 60; 4 x 50: 4 x 40; 4 x 30: 4 x 20; and 4 x 10. With 2 pieces of paper at zero. That came up to be $840 at the end of the year. It’s not much but if you stick to it, that’s money saved! Keep up the great work, happy new year!
I’m so excited to see you do all the saving challenge and I have never heard of the weather saving that’s actually smart. I have a few saving challenges that I will be doing in 2021. I can’t wait to start them
Ro, this is very creative. Especially the Mega Monopoly! I am still in hard-core debt repayment mode, but you have given me some viable options that may work in my financial situation. Thanks!
Hi! This was my first time here. I loved the first two challenges and thought the Nickel challenge was interesting.. I shared your video with my two friends as well. Thank you
This is kind of weird but I see the zero out challenge as an extra layer of protection. You are on your bank app/website at least once a week so you can look for fraudulent charges OR see where your money is consistently going. If every time you log in and the last transaction is eating out or getting coffee then it’s kind of a kick in the butt.
I have never heard of the weather challenge before. That sounds really interesting and something I can do. Right now I'm doing the $5 dollar challenge. Hopefully by the end of the year I have a good chunk saved.
For mega monopoly: go to jail (put aside $200 or an amount higher than the highest amount on the board) visit jail (put aside 1/2 of the go to jail amount) free parking (donate $25 to a charity/pay it forward or choose between kitchen, mortgage, or tesla); go (put aside the same amount you deposited into the last category for the next category - ex: put in $75 into the kitchen last paycheck, put $75 into the mortgage) income & luxury taxes (when you roll the dice, add a zero to it for the amount and it could be used to pay the IRS/state taxes or the sales taxes on the Tesla)
Rochelle!!!!!! These challenges are fantastic. I’m starting the 52 week quarterly challenge next week. I didn’t think about doing another challenge until I saw your video. WOW!!!!! That Wednesday challenge is probably the one I will try. I’m just nervous about the summer time temperatures though. 🤣🤣🤣
@@RochelleAdamson I am nervous too. WE CAN DO IT!!!!

Ohh love these savings challenges! Between you and Megan’s videos on savings challenges I’m not sure which ones I want to do but I’m excited. Gotta get working on my 2021 goals!
Chilling in the cold in Ontario Canada here. Love all these challenges. I'm gonna try the 52 week envelope challenge. For the Mega monopoly one, suggestion would be all 4 corners be a 50 donation to 1. homeless 2. humane society 3. children's charity 4. illness charity eg, cancer, heart. this will take care of all 4 corners. Good luck.
Rochelle it seems like you and I are on the same page when it comes to what we’re doing in 2021. My husband and I are about to top our emergency fund by the end of the year which is so exciting! So now we’re going to put more money into the kids college fund, more towards the mortgage and investing. This is going to be an exciting financial year! Those saving challenges look like a lot of fun. My question is where are you actually putting the money that you’re saving do you have sinking funds for each challenge that you’re going to do? Nice job as always!
Ohhhh I can’t wait to hear how it goes in 2021! 😆 yes I have Capital One 360 accounts set up for our sinking funds! I’ll share more in next budget video!

I would love to do yours with you, 100 envelopes savings challenges, and 7 days of the week savings challenge
Yayyy!! Let’s do this!
Same!! Start off strong then its downhill from there.. I will try backwards savings..lol
26 week money challenge but backwards....I'll start $78 and down from there...
I would like to try the Saveopoly that looked like fun.. n the one with the zero out sounds cool... thanks for the video... I think on Mega Monopoly when u hit gifts put a small amount away to treat yourself when u feel the need
I would try the 26 week challenge backward. I always start off energetic then taper off further in the year lol.
Okayyyyy!? Know yourself energy
I like that idea Sistren!!! I’m on your energy!!!
Thanks hon! 😆
I love the energy. I'm going to try it that way too
Good idea!
I'm not doing any particular challenges but I'm challenging myself to save 10,000 in 2021.
oKAY that IS the challenge 🎉
You got this. I saved 11,000 this year.
Yasssss
Due the $5 challenge which is almost $7000 and the nickel challenge that would give you a little over $10,000
Oh yeahhh
I dump everything from my checking into my savings the night before payday
Yasssss!! Level Pro!
this is such a good idea🤯
That’s a great idea. I may try that one.
I like to do some of the challenges in reverse order so the most expensive weeks come first. As the year goes on, things get real lol

I really enjoyed this video. thank you!! I shared it on our church website. I'm sure it's going to help a lot of people. I will be doing some of these challenges!
TYSM!!
TYSM Leslie!!! I’m so excited 😆
I hope you meet all your goals!
I am definitely going to use the zero out challenge every payday! Thank you for sharing some fun savings tips :)
You are so welcome!
Just started the nickel challenge!!! Thanks so much for this!!!
You are so welcome Roberta!
Love the way you say “bank” say it more! Love your channel ...... 💕. Thanks for the inspiration!
TYSM!
Love this one ☝🏾 Melody!!!! TYSM for subscribing!
I love how you tweeked the mega monopoly board!!!
Thanks sis!!! 😆
@@RochelleAdamson 🥰
I may try the save-opoly. In addition to my sinking funds.
I can’t wait to hear how it goes!!!
I’m so excited to see you do all the saving challenge and I have never heard of the weather saving that’s actually smart. I have a few saving challenges that I will be doing in 2021. I can’t wait to start them
Ohhhh I can't wait to see!!!!
Great video Ro and I will be doing the 26 week and zero out challenges in addition to some others. Let's save some money in 2021!
Sounds great! Yayyyy #teamzeroout
Thank you ☺
Ro, this is very creative. Especially the Mega Monopoly! I am still in hard-core debt repayment mode, but you have given me some viable options that may work in my financial situation. Thanks!
Thanks so much sis!!! 🥰 I can’t wait to watch you kick debt 💸
All of these challenges are awesome Ro. I've never heard of the save-opoly. Look forward to the 2021 savings challenges! 💕

Hi! This was my first time here. I loved the first two challenges and thought the Nickel challenge was interesting.. I shared your video with my two friends as well. Thank you
TYSM Neisha!!!!
@@RochelleAdamson No problem!!
Love all the unique challenges
TYSM Kelly!
Great vid ... I had not heard of zero out or Wednesday weather challenges
Thanks!!! I have a part 2 of this dropping in 1 hour that explains how I will budget for these challenges and more! TYSM for tuning in! 🥰
And THIS is what I try to teach my clients 🙌🏾
I have never heard of the weather challenge before. That sounds really interesting and something I can do. Right now I'm doing the $5 dollar challenge. Hopefully by the end of the year I have a good chunk saved.
Love the $5 challenge!
For mega monopoly: go to jail (put aside $200 or an amount higher than the highest amount on the board)
visit jail (put aside 1/2 of the go to jail amount)
free parking (donate $25 to a charity/pay it forward or choose between kitchen, mortgage, or tesla);
go (put aside the same amount you deposited into the last category for the next category - ex: put in $75 into the kitchen last paycheck, put $75 into the mortgage)
income & luxury taxes (when you roll the dice, add a zero to it for the amount and it could be used to pay the IRS/state taxes or the sales taxes on the Tesla)
Thank you so much for these ideasssss 💡 🙌🏾
I love all 5 savings ideas especially the Monopoly Mega..Your channel will hold me accountable..😁
Ok Amy!! 🙌🏾 we got this!
Hey Rochelle! I love the zero out challenge I should definitely challenge! thanks for sharing
Thanks Gab!!! Yes I felt like the Zero Out one is soooo doable!
Girl I’m scared!!! 😂 but I have to get this done! TYSM hon! #teamwedweatherchallenge
@@RochelleAdamson I am nervous too. WE CAN DO IT!!!!
Ohh love these savings challenges! Between you and Megan’s videos on savings challenges I’m not sure which ones I want to do but I’m excited. Gotta get working on my 2021 goals!
Right!!! Meagan is #goalssssssss 🥰 I love her videos!! She gives sound advice too
@@RochelleAdamson she sure is!
If I may ask what is Megan’s channel?
Hey Rhianna! Meagan’s YT is Her Courage to Plan & her info is in my bio! TYSM for watching
Thanks!! Loved the video, new sub :)
Good luck.
Ohhhhh I love this!!! Screenshotting!
I love 💕 playing Save-Opoly and I can’t wait to try the Zero Out Challenge!!! New subscriber 🙌🏽 let’s save these coins 💰
Yay! Thank you! And I'm so sorry UA-cam held your comment as spam smh. I love your channel hon! 🥰
