Great breakdown. I was in bands in NY starting around 1982. We could play clubs on Wednesday's and Thursday's, aside from the weekend. Then they raised the drinking age to 21 and started to get people all paranoid with this DWI bullshit. Cellphones are causing more accidents. Everyone is afraid to have 3 beers or a glass of wine and drive, because of cops. No one goes out anymore. Plus DJ's have taken over. I later joined wedding bands, but most work is going to DJ's now..
