What's up, everyone!
After using this LG Ergo 34 inch Ultrawide monitor for the past few months I can confidently say that I think this is the best ultrawide monitor for programming and productivity.

Ultrawide or Dual Display for Programming/Productivity?
I love the ultrawide monitors more, like you said it's great for programming ✨
They’re just so aesthetic too lol
Dual monitors so I can have my email/Spotify or whatever I want up on one monitor and the other one in portrait mode to code on.
@@zanderaqua6 I think I'd prefer an ultrawide.
curved 4k ultrawide
You have one of the best software engineering desk set up I've seen on youtube. I LOVE IT
Thank you so much! I am about to start a new job in a new city and I am literally planning to recreate your exact setup so THANK YOU!
Gyasi has the absolute cleanest set up ✨
Thank you so much! 💪🏾
Your setup is soooo clean I’ve been looking into getting the same one. Glad you did this
No problem glad you enjoyed it!
love your videos, your setup is awesome✨ keep the good work
5:04 Work, search the web, code, and watch UA-cam. You just described a typical day of mine. Love the clean setup too. Thumbs up man!
vibes on point bro! That vue.js shout out...let's go! keep it up man
This looks like the best monitor, I’m buying now bro. Keep up the good work!
After watching you video I picked up the desk light. It’s fantastic, helps reduce eye strain while doing long Cisco study sessions because I can change the type of light. Thank You 🤓
Thank you very much for your review, I just bought this monitor thanks to your perspective, but what I like the most is the space it provides me to be able to model in 3D since I am a 3D Airports developer and I use Blender and 3Dmax. A hug!!
Love your desktop background!
You have a cool setup! Everything just matches up. :)
Thanks, your videos are really informative and your setup is clean up, i might updgrade for this monitor in the future. But I agree I would like to see a curve version.
Gyasi is the realest gee.. On God👌🏽❤️
Love the video and such a beautiful set up! Thoughts about using this for color correction/grading?
Great video. But thanks for introducing me to the volume button for the loud transitions.
Very nice setup !
AMAZING VIDEO!!!
Awesome video! Where did you find that wallpaper? Love the setup 👌
Great setup.
Thanx for the upload.
Will appreciate if you can answer the following questions:
1. Is there any darkenng in the corners when you are sitting/looking right in the middle?
2. is there light bleeding from the edges on dark backgrownd at night or under low light conditions? If the answer is yes, what setting do you use for Brightness and Contrast when these defects appear?
3. Why would you prefer it was curved instead of flat? Anything related to productivity, eye comfort? What about some visual distortion of straight lines in the middle?
4. Is this a semi matte or matte display? You can tell this if you look at the reflections when monitor is off or has a solid black background. If you still see almost clear outlines of brighter objects then is semi matte. If outlines are blurred its matte.
5. Are there any color/brightness shifts if you move your face more towards left or right side of the screen?
That intro song man 🔥🔥🔥🔥
great content, Brazilian here!!
Really glad to find a channel with someone that actually looks like me. Great inspiration
I am before buying things for my home office. I've always liked 2 or 3 monitors, but after this video I think it's better to have one very good monitor than 2 medium or low.
I really like watching your videos
Ooh I see that E30 print in the corner! hell yeah bro
E30 = Love
E34 = Power
E32 = Passion
I got a 43UN700-B and it is the best monitor ever for eye protection, photoshop, and web development! I am super happy! I want to to buy another one for my husband! I did not like the experience with curve monitors I needed Space to program.
That monitor is so dam pretty 🤩
Just got this myself. Really good monitor for programming. One note, use a display port cable to get the maximum refresh rate of 75hz.
How good is a 75hz refresh rate for gaming?
@@breveganlyfe depends on what you gonna play if you are a single play gamer or casual online gamer it is enough but if you are gonna play competitive fps or mpba games 144 will be better option for you
Love your setup. Is that an Ikea Karlby desk?
Awesome video
Hi Gyasi! I am undecided between the "LG 34WN780-B" and "LG 43UN700-B" what do you think about the model "LG43UN700-B" ? and Which one do you recommend me to program and image/video editing? Thank you for your help and I wish you the best success in all you do! :)
I really dig this monitor, I hope I can get it if I sell my 4k monitor. I love the e30 m3 art you have behind your desk. Where did you get it?
The minute you said Vue.js I had to pause the video and head to the comment section and say "VUE JS IS FREAKING AWESOME!"....ok, now I can continue watching the video :D
great revieww
I just bought this monitor a few days ago and thought I would share some tips for Mac users. If you have a macbook pro I highly recommend that you also buy a display port 1.4 to usb c / lightening cable to use with this monitor. The included hdmi cable (or any other I've tried) will not get you the full 75hz refresh rate on 3440 x 1440. Also the display port cable produces a cleaner overall image + text. Through hdmi... it was really bad. I mean to the point where it was nauseating to read text on my text editor.
Hi, looking to purchase this monitor, can you link a cable that you've bought & can recommend please?
yes that’s what happens when you read the requirements
@@cemitas1316 Don't buy this crap, very poor image quality and view angles.
Returning my back to the seller.
VS Code ftw!
Last video i watched before i purchased this monitor! Thanks!
How was it? 😊
@@arvi8843 great for my productivity. Just wish I had a bit more pixel density and clarity. Works really well tho
@@isaiahsims__ Thank you, that's good to know. Did you experience any buzzing/hissing issue with this monitor like coil whine issue?
@@arvi8843 nah none of that for me
@@isaiahsims__ Thank you. 🙏
Great video, do you mind sharing what vs code theme you're using ?
What's your Keyboard? Looks really nice!
very cool video. I have MacBook Pro 2018 "13" -I7 2.7 GHz with 16 GB RAM, this MBP is suitable for 4k 32 inch monitor.THX
Nice review ! Link the wallpaper plz
Hey buddy, you seem to have a ton of experience with monitors, can you give me a hand? I can't wrap my head around this...
I really like the 27-inch display size as my main display for productivity --coding, taking notes with my graphic tablet, and watching educational videos--. Because of that, I would like to have a monitor that complements the 27-inch display...Which resolution would you recommend for the 27-inch display, and which monitor size and resolution would you recommend as a complementing display for the 27-inch display?
I was thinking of going 27 at 4k plus a 24 at 1080p
Appreciate your suggestions!
PS: I don’t do gaming at all!
Amazing review! What wallpaper is that?
It comes standard with Mac OS Big Sur. One of the dynamic wallpapers.
Hi! I'm Sergey and I'm a junior java developer. I wanted to know your thought about using iMac for programming
Btw the video was informative
Hi man, please could you tell me the brand of your chair, it seems to me very comfortable :) tnx
We have the same desk light
Hi Gyasi! Great review! Can this 34" LG monitor pivot to 90 degrees ..?
Probably not. Reading the user manual it only demonstrates sviwel and tilt.
where'd you get that keyboard wrist rest? looks nice.
It's pronounced er-go-noh-mic 😊 definitely considering buying this monitor, thanks for the video.
すばらしい
May i ask how it performs in gaming ? I'm not talking about competitive gaming, just casual gaming.
Is there too much ghosting ?
Can I know where you got the gray desk pad please? Thanks!
the music from around the 00:12 mark was so sharp and loud it hurt my ears (earphone user), yet immediately after the music I cannot hear what you were saying. You might want to adjust the intro music volume going forward.
what mouse pad are you using?
where did you buy your acoustic pads for your speakers?
How have you been finding the brightness? I work in a room with a lot of windows that gets a lot of sunlight, and the monitor will be placed right in front of some windows so I'm slightly concerned.
Please dont forget about TypeScript
The monitor is okay what about the computer, i was looking to buy a desktop computer that goes with that monitor. Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks.
Hello!!
I am your fan from South Korea!🇰🇷
Always Thank you for making such quality videos!
I got a huge interest in front end engineer
watching your videos.
Do you think college degree is necessary to be a front-end engineer? I currently go to UC San Diego and feel like self-teaching from online is much better than school. I want to hear about your opinion!
Thank you!!
That’s so cool to hear! Would love to visit Seoul one day. It depends honestly studying online would probably prepare you more for the specific front end engineering job but getting a computer science degree would help you get any software engineering job especially if you work on wide project. I hope this was helpful!
@@GyasiLinje Thank you so much!
always waiting for new videos!
Great review thanks! I purchased one on the strength of your review. Just stop saying Egonomic, when it's ERgonomic lol!
thank you
How was it? 😊
@@arvi8843 It's O.K. overall, but not really any better than my old SONY monitor. I didn't realise that when you open a programme such as Videostudio, all the text and icons go really small! Not sure if there is a way around this? The aesthetic of the single column support is ruined by the cables showing at the side when the monitor is near to the wall. Not much else to say of any significance.
@@TheKwaze Thank you for the feedback. 😊
@@TheKwaze, a 27" 2560 x 1440, a 34" 3440 x 1440 and a 49" 5120 x 1440 are all about 109 DPI, within a percent or two. It depends on where you come from. Using now a 32" 2560 x 1440, which is 92 DPI, I would prefer a 27" or a 34" 1440p.
Hey everyone, how did you made the refresh rate to 75 hz, my mac only allows me to put 50hz, do I need thunderbolt display? I use default hdmi cable that comes with the monitor
After hearing "VueJs" : Auto subscribe 💚
How do you match the color | resolution between the macbook pro15 and the lg monitor? What is your setup
Hey man, can you see pixels on this on? And how is color contrast for video editing and watching videos
Is your desktop made of wood?, I am going to buy the same monitor but I don’t know if the desktop needs to be made of wood so it can resist the base and monitor weight (have weight the monitor with the ergo base and it seems like 23 pounds)
what are the connections? I have a laptop with another lg monitor and need a 3rd one. THis looks like it would be great. But I only have a MINI display prot and a regular HDMI available left for connections of an additional monitor...does this monitor have either or both?
Hi, im running the same laptop. Do you run it with lid closed?
Is this an all in one? I am not a hardware person at all so sorry for sounding dumb lol I’m about to get a new setup and this seems like the best monitor so far
no, you're going to need a pc aswell.
i cant find the monitor to buy in vienna :( any other recommendations?
What USB-C dock are you using?
Which one u preder dual dell 1440p or this 34 ultrawide.
I do the same thing that you, UI/UX/Code, you don't need 4K on the monitor?
Can you set this monitor vertical or not? 😁
Thanks for the review, does anyone knows if/when this version will be available in Europe? The stand is a great feature.
It‘s available, both in a 34“ non-4K version as well as a 4k 4:3 format (I just ordered that one from amazon.de).
@@Big2Planker thanks!
Would be perfect...if it had USB c with power deliver 65w +
Hi, what are the dimensions of your desk? I am looking to order a desk with this monitor. Will really appreciate :)
How is the resolution esp for programming ?
What speakers are those?
What are the speakers?
Вы его в какой стране купили и за сколько в Украине его ещё не продают, и чем он отличается от LG 34WL750
So what about designing on it?
Is this a 4k? monitor?
Anyone know what kind of speakers those are?
Is for sale on Mercari?
What is the height of the bottom of the monitor from the desk when it is raised all the way up? Thanks in advance
According to the user manual, the height without stand is 365.3 mm and with stand 612.4 mm so I would guess 247.1 mm.
Would someone recommend this monitor for creative work?
I'm between this one and the LG 34WN80c monitor, this last one has usb C and it's curved so looks like a better option, what do you think about it ?
I’m in the exact same boat so I just purchased both of them to compare.
@@warpathh and what have you decided?
@@bananosipedist Curved ultra wide all the way.
The 80c is a 60hz panel
What s your opinion on 49 inch ones? As compared to this one?
He says on the video that at his viewing distance 49" was too wide, "unless it's curved perfectly", but I think that would mean really, really curved.
Does this come with usb-c port in the back. Some images I’ve seen does and some don’t
I was wondering too. I found this video at the 3:26 mark and it seems like it doesn't have it: ua-cam.com/video/LYNlmoXV820/v-deo.html
Just got the monitor today. It doesn't so i'm probably going to get a displayport-usbc cable
Hi, does this model provide DUAL CONTROLLER function (PiP, Picture in Picture)?
Reading the user manual I see no mention of PIP or PBP, though it explains all the menus and submenus. Manufacturer's product page says yes for dual controller, but that means being able to use one set of keyboard and mouse for controlling two different computers, but only one at a time. You can have dual controller without PIP or PBP.
Hey, your eye to monitor distance doesn't seem to be ideal for 34 inch monitor screen
Does it accept dual input - side by side laptop and pc for example ?
No. There's no mention of PIP or PBP in the manual or on the manufacturer's page. There is a dual controller feature, but that's not the same thing.
Ok but how do you put a monitor without the big cpu or pc? Like, can the monitor work and have windows without the big bulky cpu? If so, how? Thanks
They are using their laptop which connects via hdmi from laptop to Monitot
I really want this monitor but my desk is too thick for the ergo clamp :(
Thicker than 65 mm or 2½ inches?
Sorry. Anything less than 90 mm or 3½ in thick will work. Says the user manual.
Please what’s the name of the music you used in the beginning?
asking for the same here
It’s called Sweet talk by Tyra Chantey
Can it be used for gaining cause I'm looking for the perfect monitor for the ps5
I don't think an ultrawide for Console is a good idea because I believe that consoles only output at 16:9 and ultrawides are at 21:9, which will result in bezels on the sides of the monitor.
Does this have picture by picture and picture in picture feature?
Neither.
Does this support dual OS or dual input? picture by picture?
No PBP or PIP, that's for sure.
