    I don't trust MODS or NVMT. I get conflicting information often. I rather go straight for MATS in most cases. As always, great video, Frazer! You're the boss my friend! I am very happy to see your channel explode from barely a few subs to almost surpassing my little channel in a few months. Great work my brother from another mother 🙂!

      Thank you brother. 😁 Yes I don't trust it either. I normaly run Mats , Mods and NVMT. I literally have to judge which one is possibly correct. Mostly I go with Mats most of the time and it's correct. For GDDR6X because I have to run as secondary mods give ok results but many times it has been wrong too. It's like a hair pulling game. 😁. I still remember your first advice to wait until the video has been processed. I just follow that as a Bible now.

      @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql I learned about the video processing time the hard way. And no one bothered to tell me. So I thought I'd would help you to know that starting off. I'm truly happy, my bro. I hope your channel hits 100k subs in no time. Your work speaks for itself.

      The best way to learn electronics repair is to start small with components like resistors, capacitors, diodes, Inductors, and transistors. understand and learn how each of these components works and functions. Thereafter you can move to more complex components like MOSFETs and other ICs. Types of IC's (power, logic) and their functions. Once you have an understanding of how each of these components works you can gradually move up by studying the power circuits and filters. Use of MOSFETs, Regulators, Controllers, and Drivers in power circuits. Study their datasheet and their typical use in power circuits. Study individual basic voltage power supplies like 12v, 5v, 3v, etc. This will give you an idea of how these voltages are generated as the circuitry is very similar to the ones used on motherboards and GPUs but are more complex. This will help you to build a base to start to understand the motherboard and GPU circuits. You can then start to practice on dead motherboards and GPUs building your soldering skills and tracing connections and circuits. This will help you in finding faults. Thereafter just practice, practice, and practice. Some of the channels link below which can help you in learning components.
      www.youtube.com/@LearnElectronicsRepair . He explains different components very well. You can go through his content.
      All RTX 40 series use 2GB of memory. 4060 has only 4 memory slots. 2GB is the highest memory capacity produced on the GDDR6 and GDDR6X platform. None of the 40 series of Nvidia can be upgraded.

    are they not used by default?

    And you haven't done anything with the grey pads under the memory module? You reball the module and put it back on the board?

    • @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql
      @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql  Місяць тому

      The gray pads you are referring to are pads that are missing. The pads were ripped off but since they were not connected pads it did not matter. 😁

      What does mods show? If you have nvmt run that too and then with the collective information a decision can be taken. Most likely it may need a core reball.

    could you share with us a little bit about you , how you learn , like you learn by your self , study , take private courses and how you decide to repair graphics cars , myself i started 15 years ago but i repair cellphones i am from mexico , and i learn myself by trial and error and now i can do repairs at component level not to advance but enough :D thanks for the vid

      Well it's a long story but I will keep it short. I have been designing circuits boards and repairing audio devices and many other electronics devices for over 20 years. Most of those years were spent as a hobby rather than service. Designing my own power supply and other stuff. The graphics cards started about 6 years ago when I moved to the UAE and wanted to build my gaming PC here. Graphics cards were sold at a premium and I did not have the funds to buy one. So I put an AD to buy broken GPU. Watched a couple of videos of elitech and fixed both the GPU I bought 1070 and rx580. I sold one. I then started buying broken graphics cards fixing them and selling them. I started building my equipment slowly over the months there after and It's only about a year later I started offering GPU repair as a service. I started my own UA-cam about 9 months ago in a bid to make my presence felt and showcase my work in my locality. Looks like it's just a start and let's see where this path takes me.

    • @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql
      @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql  Місяць тому

      The failed one is MODS. The one used later is MATS which passed. Sometimes MATS and MODS can really act funny. So you will have to judge based on the results. With experience you will start to make right calls.
