Millport, Great Cumbrae, 1971, MV Keppel & HM2 Hovercraft

From 8mm silent cine film. Keppel ran the service to Largs for mamy years. The sidewall hovercraft were not really successful.

Sailed on both these vessels when I was a whipper Remember the hovercraft being very expensive though

Went on both, but I've no recollection of the fares.

Fond memories of the MV Keppel, seemed to go unerringly fast and somewhat out of control when slowing down as it approached it's destination.
