For me it was “I didn’t run away this time right?” I’ve only cried for Bob’s death, Max’s “death”, running up the hill scene, and Eddie’s death. So heartbreaking 💔
The saddest for me was for some reason Alexei's death. It was just the way he was finnaly feeling happy and loved. How he had just proved the games were not rigged, , and how he had won the biggest loonie toon prize and was just walking over to his new founded friend.. I MEAN HE HAD JUST GOT FREEDOM MAN.. The moment you realized what happend my heart fell to the floor with him..I dont really know.. It just hurts.

I watched stranger with things secretly when I was 9 I watched the third season when I was 11 and was dramatized and stopped watching it.
I rarely cry but... the part where Max escapes from Vecna left me crying more than Will has in this season

Am I the only person in the world who didn't find Eddie's death sad I grew up watching emotional movies that's prob why but also I didn't get attached to him much I mean if I had to chose between him and chrissy I would choose Chrisy
Eddie's death, Max's "death" and when Hopper and El reunite all had me bawling like a baby!

Chrissy’s death had a big impact on Eddie because near the end of s4 before he sacrificed himself he said “This is for you Chrissy..”
Even though she only lasted ep1 of season 4 she had an impact on the end
Also her death was very sad

Max's last minute was more sad than Eddie's death. Eddie accepted his death, Max didn't which made it heart-breaking + everything she went through this season. 'I'm scared I don't want to die, I can't see anything'. So glad she didn't really die and I'm excited to see what role she plays next season.
In my opinion Eddie’s death was more sad I guess because he’s like my favorite character but also max lived in the end so… idk 🤷🏼♀️

Max has the most heartbreaking storyline in my opinion. From watching her mom get remarried to an abusive stepdad at a young age, having a toxic stepbrother, then having to watch him be killed by a monster and have majority of the population not really know what happened to him, feeling like it’s your fault, then becoming blind, have all your bones break, and fall into a coma….
Honestly I think it was the saddest too what more do they want from her 😭

The four scenes that I really can remember made me cry were
1. Eddie’s death
2. Alexei’s death
3. Will destroying castle Byers
4. Basically anything with max and Lucas in vecna’s house especially max’s speech when she was talking about Billy “now I pray something terrible will happen to me”, “Erika help”, “I’m scared I don’t want to die”
Nah when Erica burst through the room and Lucas yelled that my heart stop, also like the moments after when Lucas was like having hope and reading to her in the hospital I got like severe depression now.

I think Bob’s death was sadder than Eddie’s just because Bob thought he was finally safe when he saw Joyce, and then the dogs got him. For Eddie, he did it to be a hero and he died a hero. The fact Eddie almost seemed at peace with his death makes me annoyed when people say they should bring him back.

Eddie had a sadder death in my opinion and the reason why we want him back because he is a like able character and all though I was sad with bobs death I was mostly angry because any smart human being would actually have ran out instead of standing there 😅

The sad part is that Alexei didn’t die a brutal or kinda cool death, didn’t get killed in a scary way, no sacrifice to save someone, he just got shot at the carnival. He was so pure.

People like to hate on Max (or used to) but she was one of my favorite characters since season 2. Max was undoubtedly the highlight of this season.

It feels like nobody is talking about Alexei’s death. Him and Murray had such a sweet friendship and it had just started. He was so happy about winning that big looney toon plush and then that guy just shoots him.

I never cry but when Eddie died, Lucas was screaming for help, and Max died in his arms (is she dead?) saying that she wasn’t ready to die made me cry. It was even worse that it was one after the other.
Dustin’s speech to Eddie’s uncle had me BAWLING, i was upset for days 😭😭😭
Eddie Munson is really a legend. like he appeared first time in a season without any backstory and literally win everyone's heart. his character is so Charming and awesome that people really forget he's a drug dealer.

I rarely cry and never cried the whole series but when Lucas tried to wake max up and her eyes were literally plain white I literally almost shedded a tear.
Eleven reading Hopper's letter made me cry the most, and you can't blame me
Only time I shed a tear during this was when Dustin talked to Eddie's uncle. God I love this show. I started watching 4 days ago and got addicted. I watched a season a day. I finished the show about 20 minutes ago and I feel sad that I have to wait years for season 5.
Ikr! We had to wait forever for season 4 because filming was delayed because of covid. I was so ecstatic when season 4 finally premiered. Now we have to wait another 2 years for season 5!
I feel that Hopper being freed is more impactful in the far later episodes of Season 4 when he speaks about delicacies that he took for granted after having to eat nothing more but slump at that prison. Him scooping his fingers into the peanut butter was more a “taste of freedom” and didn’t make you as realizing of the fact that he forgot how the foods we take for granted taste up until that point.
When Dustin got rejected at the ball, it was like the saddest thing I’ve ever seen 😭

Eddies death honestly broke me because he was one of the best characters in my opinion
I think everything to do with max (her brother dying, being excluded from the party, Eleven not liking her in the beginning, getting cursed by Vecna…) was extremely sad. When she said “I cant feel or see anything!” I started balling my eyes out, she is definitely my favourite character. I also found the scene with Dustin getting rejected very sad, i just wanted to hug him and dance with him (I’m happy Nancy came and cheered him up in the end) and another sad scene was where Nancy talked about her parents never loving each other to Jonathan

it was even worse because max truly realized she didnt want to die, she was terrified of what was going on, and to have all those emotions in only a few minutes, I cant imagine what panic she had.
I couldn’t believe this season. It was an emotional roller coaster. You have both max and eddies ‘death’ scene, el & hopper reunite, dustin speaking with eddie’s uncle, and a little more all in one episode. When i say I cried rivers, I truly did.
I’ve only seen season 3. But know the deaths in season 4. But it made me cry when eleven was looking for hopper after he sacrificed himself

Max’s almost death was one of the most hardest I’ve ever cried. When Lucas was calling Erica for help and crying so much for Max, that just broke my heart and made me cry even more. Then after when Max said that she’s scared and doesn’t want to die, that was when I just lost it and literally cried for a while. Also Will and Jonathans’s heart-to-heart moment was also very sad but in a good way
When Dustin talked to Eddie’s uncle I almost cried
it was so sad that he was only in season 4 yet people loved him the most
I only cried 2 times. First at brenner’s death coz he cared about el and also wanted to help her always and how he tried his best to protect her. Second, at eddie’s death. He was a true legend and died to protect Everyone even though, his death was a waste as they failed to kill vecna and prevent the opening of 4TH portal. It’s sad how he didn’t even get the recognition he deserved and at the end, he was declared as a satanist.

the only time i cried during the ENTIRE SERIES was vecna’s first visit on max during those flashbacks, and then her last visit when she ultimately died. it was heart-wrenching how she was so hyper-aware that she was going to die, and she knew exactly what was happening. 😭

In my opinion, kind of like Billy’s death, Lucas’s reaction to Max’s “death” was a lot more sad than Max’s actual “death.” Same with Billy’s, I personally wasn’t effected by Billy’s death but Max’s reaction is what made it sad. But Caleb’s “Erica help” was so freaking phenomenal and the fact that it was improvised just blows my mind
