We had different perception about general Baig since zia ul haq plane crash....but after this interview we got to know general shb man of principle ,thorough and a die hard Pakistani....another remarkable thing is,at the age of 94 mashallah mentally so sharp n alert. Gen. Aslam’s analysis & depth on the root cause of unstable political environment is spot on. The pillars of politics can never to strong or stable due to military intervention in politics, particularly managing elections to install weak governments so they can control them.
Yet he made IJI to stop Benazir from getting power and distributed 22 corors from Mehran Bank to the saleable politicians 🤔

Gen. (Retd) Mirza Aslam Beg didn't mention the role played by Mr. Z A Bhutto in the dismemberment of Pakistan in 1971. I would say during his service Gen. Mirza Aslam Beg was a Military General with civilian mindset.

Unfortunately, the interviewer seems to have consumed more time than Gen. MAB. Besides the sound quality is not up to the mark.

May Allah Bless Gen. Beg who was our neighbor in Comilla during 1963 - 64, where he served as Brigade Major for the 53th Brigade.

Before these military leadership continue to damage people of Pakistan, and people really want to do something, they should fight them and eject all military leadership, Judiciary, bureaucracy, police and renew the whole system. Pakistan do not need military any more. People will be its military, renew Judiciary, police and bureaucracy. Compete revamp. And, punish maximum families for hijacking Pakistan in the past with black listing these families for 200 years. Renew education system and establish modern governance system on the pillars of Islam.

There is no denying the fact that they are different people during their tenure in service and their retirement. When you have them in power they are part and parcel of the status quo but these same generals don’t support the status quo. They intervene in politics while they are actually in active service, but they are against being involved in politics.
People are nowhere in the comity of nations and the truth is that they are lagging behind in their own region and not to talk of their gaining popularity in the world at large. People who are more loyal to their state and obedient to its Constitution, they are still haunted when they emphasise their right to free speech, they fear their own institutions.
This is why they don’t understand this paradox. In short, people had been going somewhere since its inception but reaching near the intended destination. Who are responsible for this dilemma and no one is taking responsibility. Instead, they are actually shifting responsibility to each other and nothing beyond that. This is why we are not responding to the changing times.Pakistan zindabad.
