Ahhhhhh the 90s..... When teens would go to the mall to hang out, when it was so cool to sit at home and watch TGIF on a Friday night, when Nintendo and Sega ruled the game world, and the best part of all.. when Saturday mornings was a kids dream and we wished it NEVER ENDED!!!! WHERE HAVE U GONE!
I remember TGIF like it was yesterday!! Perfect line up of funny and touching shows with a lesson learned in every new episode you saw! Things were good back then… so much more wholesome!! Modest!! Old Fashioned!! Back then, kids respected their parents/elderly more and money had so much more value. Friendships were spent talking on the phone, going out for walks, going to the mall or out to eat or to watch a movie and even go bowling! The times were so much more simple. I miss those times. I yearn for those slower, better paced days filled with engagement with others, not a day spent with 6-7 hours on your phone of screen time. We were lucky back then and didn’t even know it! Now, the world has gone and gotten itself in one, big, damn hurry and you might miss your life if you don’t stop every once in awhile to smell the roses! ❤🙏🏼 Bring back the time!
AND NOW IT'S BACK!!!!!! ABC REVIVED TGIF, SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS, NASCAR, FAMILY MOVIES, ROSEANNE, HOME IMPROVEMENT AND JODIE FOR US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was in 5th grade in '95. I can still remember every Friday nights how excited I was for TGIF to come on. Family Matters was my favorite. Step By Step was eh kinda funny. Then I remember after TGIF watching 20/20 thinking I was a smart 5th grader watching journalistic news. LOL!
Hmm I was in the 5th grade as well so many memories of Friday nights during this year on up to "99" after that I was in high school and TV was almost a whenever because Friday nights I tried to not be at home 😂 but I sincerely miss this lineup of TGIF😢
The 1994-1995 season was a good season for ABC but it was the season that decided it was time to go after NBC for adults hence the mass cancellations of 'kiddie shows' outside of TGIF such as Sister, Sister, Me and The Boys, All American Girl, etc.
@@JasonDelarosa2000 Yep, Sister Sister landed at the WB and it made since as it was distributed by them. They also wanted Full House which probably could have boosted their network even more given it was still high rated along with Me and The Boys at the end of the season. But so many shows that were decent rated had lower ratings on UPN and WB but was legit enough to stay on a few seasons.
@@gerawallstar3487 Yep, they could had another season or two on WB but John Stamos refused to come back as Jesse has he wanted to move on. While I believe this was not the sole reason, I also believe the bigger reason was costs as they were going into a 9th season while Sister Sister was going into a 3rd season (1 full, one, half season but half seasons count as full for the sake of when it premiered). ABC even admitted Full House (while they had the money and the show had the numbers) was not worth it for a renewal despite the changes they were making on their lineup

TGIF on Friday nights....Snick on Saturday night...Cartoons/WWF on Sunday mornings. Didn't get any better as a kid in the 90s.

I take it, you was born in 85? or around that time? lol That's exactly what I watched!
It’s great to relive memories of TGIF 90s & Snick on Saturday’s! Anyone remember the classic ABC’s one Saturday morning?

I wasn't born in the year 1995 since ABC TGIF's lineup was so rare and so good with commercials that aired on TV.
People would stay home and order pizza on fridays and watch TGIF
...and Rub one out to Jodie Sweetin.
Love the old commercials too.
When ABC still had NASCAR, Jodie Sweetin, Winnie the Pooh, AFV, all that stuff
Winne the fckn pooh!!! I almost 4got 😢 lol
@@juliustaylor9920 and Jodie was quite the looker.

That’s the season when Friends premiered. Makes sense 😒
