You should listen to some Cream if you like some harder stuff by Clapton, Cream was one of the earliest heavy metal bands and you might enjoy White Room or Sunshine of your Love by them.
Piano by the great Chuck Leavell, who played with the Allman Brothers Band and the Rolling Stones. He really shines on "Old Love," one of my favorites from this Unplugged set.
That's 30 years old, jan 1992. I got into guitar in 1993. My dad bought the DVD in 1994 and I've learned every single riffs, chrords of that album in and out off memory. Those blues songs, I've never heard of them before but it's fun to play.
I don't understand why no one plays Clapton's "The Core", for me it's his best hit which is on the album Slow Hand, everything borders on excellence, a frantic rhythm a phenomenal saxophone solo and Clapton is fantastic at the guitar, I've only seen 3 posts on this piece, it's desperate!!!
Eric Clapton wrote this song about Patty Boyd Beatles George Harrison wife, They fell in love and she would leave Harrison and married Eric Clapton in 1979 - 1989. This destroyed the friendship of Eric Clapton and George Harrison. He als wrote " You Look Wonderful Tonight" for her.
unfortunately Jim Gordon - drums, percussion, piano in the original version murdered his mother in 1983 due to undiagnosed Schizophrenia and is in prison to this day never attending any of his parole hearings.
Travis & Suzi Have both of you seen and reacted to Tears In Heaven yet? This song is also from same Unplugged Special by Eric Clapton. So far, he is only three-time inductee of Rock Hall Of Fame.
This is fantastic but the original with Dwayne Allman on the slide is epic. A song about falling in love with the wife of your best friend and a Beatle. The song is about Patti Harrison. Only EC could pull it off.
This very specific version of this song made me want to learn guitar 20 years ago, still playing to this day. Thanks Clapton!
In my opinion Clapton Unplugged is the best album ever !
The best song he did that night was Tears in Heaven. Written for the tragic death of his son.
Listen to Clapton in the 70's. " Derek and the dominos live at the Filmore - Blind Faith - Clapton live at the Rainbow .
Or his one album with howlin wolf.

It’s cool to see metal musicians showing some respect to Clapton.
I don't know any person who wouldnt say Eric clapton is nothing else than a god on the guitar

I love this better than the original it's so smooth
Listen to Eric Clapton Crossroads 2010 live !!!
The whole unplugged album is excellent. The other live album I can't recommend enough is 24 nights. Clapton at his absolute peak imho
I agree about 24 Nights. I was there the night they recorded the 4 piece band. 24th Jan 1990.
His best version so cool

Can you please react to Garbage song called Wolves
Please do Old Love live
You can really hear the blues influences in his music on these acoustic versions
He was trying to play brownie mcgee style lol.
This is fantastic but the original with Dwayne Allman on the slide is epic.
A song about falling in love with the wife of your best friend and a Beatle.
The song is about Patti Harrison.
Only EC could pull it off.
Another acoustic gem from EC is Change the World from One More Car, One More Rider.
Wouldn’t be your first rodeo, anyone that likes good music would know this . I live in Australia and I know this bad boy lol
Totally different from the fiery original; E. C. was in agony over best bud George Harrison's wife Pattie at the time. And no Duane, either.
Nice
Legend 👌
