Had heard so much about it. But felt like having seen an advertisement.
But cinematography was quite splendid.
I visited India from Helsinki after 8 years. This time my Father was ot there, I spoke to Him ailways but missed Him a lot. I can relate to this film. I wo'nt see Him ever ..... no no. In fact now I see Him every day whenever I want to and wish to.

having an advertisement of musturd oil make u cry also...a perfect bong can understand why "shorsher tel" is much needed in food or any kind of "torkari, jhal etc.".. after all dishes create and maintain relation also...and this is the successful movie about relations...editing is so essential and being very nice and I must thank the editor with the director and dop also...

This is going to be the 5 th Durga Puja I am in Finland. I remember at some point in 2011 Durga Puja, during Asthami Anjali I prayed hard to Mother Goddess (Maa Durga ) that I want to see you in Europe. She brought me to Europe but till now never have been able to go to Helsinki which is the nearest Durga Puja to me.
Hats off to works of Ranjan palit .... it's a real treat to watch his cinematography ....

I don't know about Bengali culture but after watching this short film I think it's very very differently nice Durga Puja, food, clothes and all . Story is also nice.

Loving this short film bandwagon. Amazing platform. I feel more and more established directors like Aniruddhya RoyChoudhury, Sujoy Ghosh should come forward and explore this format. I think this platform gives more freedom to the directors to express themselves. We as viewers of cerebral cinema certainly not complaining a bit. Kudos...

Everything is great about this short film apart from the dubbing of Ananya Chatterjee's voice, there was no need to dub her voice by somebody else. She is a renowned actress, everyone knows her real voice which is amazing.

It was good, but the story shows lali a girl brought up in USA who never visited kolkata before is soo wwell capable to read bengali diary written by her grandmother in bengali...

Is there any film where a Hindu boy gets married with a Muslim girl and lives happily? Debi should enjoy Eid as she has already left everything for his new found love! And his muslim husband got divorced to enjoy with his other wives as they can legally keep more than one wife!!

+Anjan Roy may be the concept is same, but what i love the most is the sentiments of the grandchild towards her grandma. How she misses her and values her even when she is no more and keeps her alive in her mind and among everyone through her qualities. I also liked the way she values her culture and never forgets who she is though being brought up in a place way different from her country. Shubho Ponchomi by the way..... to everyone. :)
