Here in, Australia, with my School Cleaning job... We have RED for the toilets, GREEN for the kitchen area, BLUE for desks, chairs, and window sills, YELLOW for medical, light PINK for other things like bubblers...

Is it legal to do residential and commercial cleaning under the same company? How do you record your Supplies/Inventory and Machinery on your books? Do you record them as a Capital Asset or as an Expense? What is ISSA? Is it worth becoming a member? What are other useful resources out there like ISSA?

How do you get your rags laundered? Are the employees in charge of laundering their own rags? If a separate person does it, do they launder them at a laundromat?
Our franchisees have their own processes for laundering towels. For the customers that we do supply towels for, a member of our team picks up the towels on location, launders them at our office, and returns them for the employees on site. That works for us, but you can make your employees responsible for delivering the towels to the office/home base for cleaning. We're working on a video explaining how to clean microfiber towels and mops. Stay tuned!

One time use towels are sometimes a necessary option for extremely messy bathroom cleaning. Some of our customers have their own vendors who supply and maintain linens, but for those that we do supply towels for, a member of our team picks up the towels on location, launders them, and returns them for the employees on site. @@OctoCleanMedia Has this video came out yet? I have always wondered what is the best way to clean and properly disinfect them and whether they should be washed together or separately.
Which is the best color for cleaning bathroom yellow or red?
We use yellow for toilets and urinals. It's easy to remember because you know yellow 😂 and then green is for surfaces. So we'd use a green microfiber for the counters of the restroom. Blue for glass and mirrors. We reserve red mainly for medical cleaning/terminal cleaning of ORs, but will sometimes use red or purple for stainless steel polish in the restroom. Your color code system is up to you!
