I can see that this home means so much to you! The memories are embedded within its foundation... It will be a lot of work, yet a blessing as well! You people are blessed and loved by many! What a wonderful legacy filled with your own sweat, love and maybe tears! Thank you for sharing this endeavor of love of Family! ❤❤❤
I love the fact you’re keeping and refurbishing the home. My parents home which they bought in 1961 and lived in their whole life...raised 5 children, was sold in 2012 when they passed and it broke my heart that I couldn’t keep it. I was so happy to see the new owners kept the wooden floors. All those skuffs and stains are a history. A memory. I believe old homes hold memories...energies of those who’ve lived. I hope you and Ken & Beckett are very happy and live a long, happy life in your “new” home! I love the property! I’m a country girl at heart ♥️
This is so Awesome! Y’all will be making many beautiful memories of your own while keeping the memory of those dearly departed alive. My grandfather also had a wall of photos in his house with all of the generations on it as we grew up, right over my grandmothers piano. Always loved that. My grandpa’s house at the farm had a chemical toilet and an outhouse and we had to haul water for the cistern. I promise I’m only 53.🤣. Great memories! My parents bought a 100 yr old farmhouse in the 70’s and remodeled it. It was a large 2 story with a full basement and wrap around deck done in Canadian Douglas fir. Just a gorgeous home. Sadly they had to sell it when my dad was diagnosed with cancer. I have so many great memories of growing up in the farm in 🇨🇦. I think it’s very important kids get to experience that lifestyle. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
We live in my husbands grandparent’s home built in 1920’s and our son lives in his grandfathers home. Our family loves being a part of continuing the family history. You’ll love it and, if like us, you’ll find your family is with you every day.
I love just about everything you are doing. So many times it lets tear everything down (including the memneris) and start over. Love nostalgia with a modern twist. Having said that. I HATE painted brick. But I still can't wait to see how it all comes together. Also that is a big garden for a bunch of carnivores. LOL
Am excited for you both. Hoping for peaceful times for you all. Hope you get to plant, harvest, can and ferment and just have family time making memories. I can see you making your own fermented pickles.....and pickle juice!
Aww, i feel in love with you even more than before when you were talking about your tribute to your family who has passed over, and your plans to talk about them to Beckett... but talking about them to keep them alive❤️🥰.
Neisha you made me cry. I miss my TN family so much. I stayed with my Mammaw and Pappaw while my Mother and Daddy worked growing up. My Mother passed away 9 years ago. I grew up near Harrison Bay just outside of Chattanooga. All my great grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins we all lived in close proximity. In 1974 my Daddy was transferred to SC. When people ask where I’m from I still say Chattanooga. Yes, talking about your loved ones keeps them alive. I know I will see them again. I just really miss them. I’m sure they would love how you are taking care of their beautiful home. ❤️ Thanks for sharing.
Love seeing you both transform your lives - and your beloved family home, and help us transform our as well, through wellness / medical and lifestyle videos!! I really enjoy it all!!
I love that you are keeping the spirit of the house and of your grandparents alive in your renovation. In the bathroom that is losing a window, you might consider a ceiling skylight. I had one above my shower in another house and it was my favorite feature, it just brought so much light in and made the bathroom feel very airy and fresh. Thanks for the video and I will look forward to your updates!
Watching your video after clearing out my mother’s long term care room as she passed on Saturday night. Keeping items for all the grandchildren, great-grandchildren was important as she meant so much to them. Besides memories we have small mementoes & photos so appreciate you’re attachment to their belongings. The property is beautiful.
This is great. Two suggestions: consider a corner shelf beside your fireplace, so that it faces the center of the room, and when you enclose the carport, consider keeping the brick pillars, and perhaps have a small fireplace or wood stove. I just purchased my aunt’s little farm, and completely renovated! You will love living there! Hello from small town Arkansas!
Girl...I am so proud of you. Taking your grandparents home and renovating, You can tell it means so much to you. Beckett will LOVE living there, running up and down the hills. You will start canning...it’s not hard and the Ball canning book is the the Bible! Good luck!
It's wonderful the way you plan on embracing the past and enriching your son's life with the folks before him!!! I can see a modern homestead...smokehouse becoming a chicken coop, and that land for planting veggies!!!!
I’m really enjoying this series. I feel akin with also having had the tragedy of a house fire. My grandparents were so dear to me and I think it’s awesome y’all are doing this Reno. I can’t wait to watch it come back to life!!!! Some much needed soul soothing for you!
I grew up in an small 1 story brick bungalow built back in the 1920s. It was a 2 bedroom house and we were a family of 5. My parents had the largest of the tiny bedrooms while I had the smallest and my brothers had a room in the attic. It was old and small but beautiful with old slat and plaster walls, ceilings, and moldings.
Thank you for sharing. I think it's wonderful that you are able to restore your grandparents home and keep their memory alive. I can't wait to see more as it progresses. It sounds like it's going to be a gorgeous, peaceful home. I would love to be able to purchase my grandparents old home, restore it, and raise my kids there. I have so many precious, happy memories of time spent at my grandparents house. My dad was not around when I was growing up so my grandpa filled that role for me. He was and still is my hero.
I love your grandparent's home, and I love that you are keeping it and giving it new life. What a wonderful living tribute to them. This touches my heart, and I know they would be very happy to know that you are moving your family into their loving home.
Love your memories of home and family there. Can’t wait to see it all come back to life. Had to smile when I saw the cement pots on the front porch. My Dad always kept a variety of chili peppers growing in ours since Mom wasn’t a fan of “playing in the dirt.” ❤️
Neisha, I LOVED this video! What a beautiful way to honor your grandparents and y’all’s memories. I was very close to my grandma especially. So many memories of us baking homemade cinnamon rolls, raspberry jam, reading books for hours, and one of my favorites was a button drawer that I would spend hours upon hours when I was little. Look forward to seeing the whole process!
Loved this video. I'm so glad we get to follow along with your renovation. It's going to be beautiful when it's finished. Your grandparents would be very proud of you. ❤
Love this. One thing I’ve always been sad about is that I was not old enough when my grandparents farm was up for sale to buy it. It holds such great memories for me. ❤️
The very heartwarming story was definitely worth seeing and hearing. Saying that reminds me of a quote from one of my favorite authors, "Mark Twain"; " Kindness is something the deaf can hear and the blind can see. That's how I feel about you and especially Dr. Ken D, Berry M.D. you have taken me out of my nightmare of a world of death into a world of hope. Thank you so much.
I love that you are redoing byour grandparents home. I feel the same way you do. My mom and I lived with mine when I was little in Hardeman Co. Tennessee. The absolute best years of my life . I love that you want to pass your memories down to Beckett ♥️
Did not realize that your had burned in such a way that it couldn't be fixed. But you guys are blessed being able to renovate that beautiful old house of your grandparents. You seem to have quite a bit of acreage. Wonderful. Looking forward to seeing more as you progress with the house.
You are just the sweetest! At your age to be so in tune to family and passing down that love of family and just the importance of family is a credit to you. This world does not encourage this type of thinking and to see just a glimpse of it in someone as young as you is so encouraging! I live in a rural area of Iowa and many here still hold those same values of home and family. I have a daughter your age and she also has hashimotos. I love seeing your journey and your success with that also. Much love to you, Ken, and little Beckett!
My brother in law is from Parsons not far from your property. We all now live in east Tennessee though. I drive to Parsons on ocassion to do pick up deliveries for his business. Anyway, its a beautiful area there. My husband renovates homes for a living and can give some great affordable quality tips to help the process. He believes in keeping the history and character of a home as much in tact as possible. Looking forward to watching the journey. To this day I wish I could've owned my grandparents home. I was only 13 when it was sold after their passing. I still drive by it and wish I had it now at 46. The people that own it have ruined its character, but the memories will always be with me.
Your sentimental heart touches me deeply. You are so sweet and dear. I have to say that the brick of your house is what they call here where I live, "Old brick" and it is very expensive. I love it! You say red brick, but I see lots of colors. I enjoyed your house tour.
nearly brought tears as I walked through your home with you. The news tells us the world is falling apart but you and Ken are a breath of fresh air and hope, God Bless!
Def keep the hardwood floors!! Contractors always want to demo as much as possible- hardwood floors that have life on them are beautiful and coveted! Sending positive vibes your way :)
Oh my!! That looks like a big project. It is really awesome that you have your grandparents property. I am also very sentimental. Sometimes too much. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. You're such an inspiration.
Love it!! Can’t wait to see the tile. We live in the farmhouse styled old house and enjoy it so much. I like when you said live long and don’t live beyond your means ☺️
I live in my grandparents house and I spent most of my time here as well. Prayers that your whole family enjoys it AND enjoy making new memories in an "old house" !
I can't wait to see all the love you pour back into this beautiful childhood memory. I miss my grandparents every day and their home. This video really hit home, thank you.
I just “met” you and Dr. Ken last week!!! And following closely as I’m trying to eat your way! Not “obsessed” with weight loss per se....But getting older and wanting to maintain good health and feel better in my own skin, while losing a few pounds! This has been my favorite video so far because you are so personable, real, and genuine! You have a beautiful heart! Thanks for sharing with us! 🥰
Watching the part about your plans for grandmas area made me cry a little. Just all your memories and your devotion to their memory was so overwhelming touching. A year ago I had to downsize and thought for sure my adult girls would want some of my moms family heirlooms. Nice things But said no to it all. They wanted “IKEA” houses. I was broken hearted. Just seemed family heirlooms we’rent of any significance. Love your ideas so much. I know your Grammy is smiling down on your plans ♥️
I'm so excited for you and your family. Nothing better then our childhood memories. You should make a growth board for Beckett, once a year on his birthday mark his height and age. That is something I wish I would have been with my children. Thanks for sharing. Love you channel.
...this sounds very nice...I hope the BEST for all your dreams...your very fortunate to have their lives and memories...what a heritage!... Beckitt is a doll... and your so lucky to have Dr. Berry! .. make it ALL beautiful!
I love your grandparents home already 😊 I can hear the locusts outside 🙌🏼 and it’s one of the most soothing sounds in the world to me. 😁 Neisha I’m so thankful for your channel !
I know it will be beautiful! I love how much you love your family. Even though I don’t know you in person, It shows what an awesome person you are. 🤗 Can’t wait to see all the work being done. 💗
You are both very good souls .I too have a tribute wall I think family here or on other side is very important ,God bless you both BTW its my 45 th Keto day down 13# 63 years old and I feel more like 40 today! I was feeling like 90 so arthritis is much less as inflamation decreases Fibromyalgia so much better .Thank you both!
I truly don't mean this to come off as an ugly comment, but I was surprised and touched by your obvious love for your grandparents and their home. You brought me to tears as you shared your memories. I also spent much time with my grandparents as a child, and they were my heart. They have both passed away. I look forward to seeing updates on the home as you go through this process. :)
Love the house and all the property. Can't wait to see it when you and Ken finish it!! Thanks for taking me on the journey with you and Ken. Take care and stay safe.
I love that you can go home again! They saying you can't go home again holds true for me. I went back east for my mom's 65th and hung out with my aunt until we surprised her at her bday party. We visited my old house which had been my grandparents until my mom bought it. Unfortunately she lost it a few years back, but the new owners have renovated it and are taking great care of it. Then we visited the old beach house(fantastic memories there!) And the new(to me anyway as my Auntie sold it years ago.) Let us go inside and share stories of the gianormous family reunions we had there. It was great. Glad to see you holding onto what's near and dear to you. Can't wait to see more.
Neisha, love the story about your grandpa chasing you around the house lol!!. I, too , grew up in a "circle" house and have lots of memories of monster chases with my sisters. I also, remember living with my dad's parents in a tiny town in Kansas while dad was serving on a navy ship. I have only one memory of getting into trouble and that was when I had interrupted Walter Cronkite. My gentle loving grandpa jumped out of his chair and gave me a strong smack on my rear. He had probably told me a hundred times to be quiet, I don't remember, but I do know that I never interrupted Walter Cronkite again. Thank you for all your content you share here and on Facebook. I have learned so much from both you and Dr. Berry. I appreciate your dedication and spirit.
Oh Neisha! I love this house! You have some beautiful plans for it! We doubled the footage in our tiny 750 sq. Ft. To 1400. 20 years ago! Good your planning lots of storage! I designed ours and forgot to put in enough storage!🤷♀️ I have to tell you the one thing that really struck me is the FRONT DOOR! But I’m a mid century person and it is all that! You can get some good money for it. Don’t give it away!😀 Oh this is going to be fun to watch! Thank you for sharing it.❤️
It’s going to be beautiful. I live on land my grandparents homestead. I have many memories of my grandparents that will never fade. I miss them so much.
Wow, I am enjoying this one. Your sentimental passion for this house is so refreshing. I see so many wanting to tear it down (especially in Williamson), and start over. I love the memories tied to your heart, that you mention as you go through the home. I am in Franklin, and am an interior designer, so I can appreciate all of your blood, sweat and tears. Glad you and Dr. Berry can work on this together, and have a chance to hold on to a piece of your past. Your ideas about the space are great, but if you need someone to bounce ideas off of, let me know. I would love to give back some of the love you guys share with us.
I always wanted to buy my grandparents house and renovate it! It recently came on the market and someone did just that. I was so jealous somebody else got to live in the house that contained so many wonderful childhood memories. I’m so glad you’re getting to do that with this house.
Love your ❤! Our history is what makes us who we are. I have my GGM wedding band, my MGM sofa table (which was my GGM that survived a fire) and my PGM armoire. I would not let them go for anything!! Your farm house is going to be beautiful.
It’s going to be even more beautiful than it already is and you can really tell how much it means to you. Thank you for bringing us along to be apart of it too!! Much Love ♥️♥️
Neisha what a beautiful thing you are doing by not selling your grandparents home but restoring it. I am so excited to see the finished product. I know it will be a beautiful home. Best of luck through the process!
This is a great project. I'm so glad you're bringing your grandparents home back to life. It sounds like it will be really nice. I can't wait to see the progress. Beautiful country life!! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing. I'm so happy for you. What a special home and a wonderful tribute to your grandparents. I'm sure they are smiling down on you. Looking forward to your journey! ❤
Joanna Gaines or Neisha Salas-Berry? lol Loving the video! Thanks for sharing!!
Neisha, you have a kind heart and beautiful soul. Your grandparents would be so proud!!
Amen, i love her kind, down to Earth, intelligent soul. Couldn't agree more ❤️
I can see that this home means so much to you! The memories are embedded within its foundation... It will be a lot of work, yet a blessing as well! You people are blessed and loved by many! What a wonderful legacy filled with your own sweat, love and maybe tears! Thank you for sharing this endeavor of love of Family! ❤❤❤
I can see in your eyes how emotional this makes you. I wanted to cry with you lol. It’s going to be beautiful!! Can’t wait to see the progress. 🙂
Neisha, I absolutely loved when you said “The house that built me”, oh my, that was so very true and hit home to me. I love your channel
I think that this house has shown more of your personality than any of the shopping videos. I’m looking forward to seeing the house has it progresses.
LOL
What a sweet home. You'll make it your own while you honor those who left it to you. How beautiful.
Am excited for you both. Hoping for peaceful times for you all. Hope you get to plant, harvest, can and ferment and just have family time making memories. I can see you making your own fermented pickles.....and pickle juice!
That's the plan!
From someone who thought the same about her grandparents, you are doing a wonderful thing!
Your grandparents would be so proud that you want to keep their memory alive. That those memories didn’t die with them is so sweet. Well done!❤️
Aww, i feel in love with you even more than before when you were talking about your tribute to your family who has passed over, and your plans to talk about them to Beckett... but talking about them to keep them alive❤️🥰.
What a beautiful way to raise the baby ! Grandparents are the most special people in the world... and it is going to be gorgeous! Love farmhouses 😍
Such great space and land to work with. Love your ideas both decor and in keeping the memories alive. May God Bless you all and keep you safe.
The house that built Beckett 😄 Making New memories to tie into the old ❤Happy times ahead for the Berry family.⚘
You are a special soul. Farm life is wonderful. Bringing love and laughter once more to this special house.
Neisha you made me cry. I miss my TN family so much. I stayed with my Mammaw and Pappaw while my Mother and Daddy worked growing up. My Mother passed away 9 years ago. Love all of it. Love how sentimental you are about the house and your family. What a treasure.
I loved seeing how vulnerable and sentimental you are in this video. I love this house.
Love it!! Can’t wait to see the tile. We live in the farmhouse styled old house and enjoy it so much. I like when you said live long and don’t live beyond your means ☺️
You're living my dream, I'd love to be on a property like that! It's beautiful!
I live in my grandparents house and I spent most of my time here as well. Prayers that your whole family enjoys it AND enjoy making new memories in an "old house" !

I really enjoyed this video and listening to you talk about your grandparents. Thanks for taking us along on this journey.
Love it! Love all the memories! Definitely has good bones!

Love when people renovate old places.
I know it will be beautiful! I love how much you love your family. Even though I don’t know you in person, It shows what an awesome person you are. 🤗 Can’t wait to see all the work being done. 💗

This is going to be fabulous!! An emotional journey, but it is going to be so wonderful when you are done.
I'm so excited to follow your renovations, what a beautiful thing to be able to bring your grandparents home back to life ❤
Neisha, love the story about your grandpa chasing you around the house lol!!.
This is such a wonderful adventure and will be a legacy and tribute to them!
I always wanted to buy my grandparents house and renovate it! It recently came on the market and someone did just that. I was so jealous somebody else got to live in the house that contained so many wonderful childhood memories. I’m so glad you’re getting to do that with this house.
I am so glad I found your channel, something about you radiates honesty and deep faith in God.
God bless you and your family!
Thank you for sharing. This video shows a side of you we don’t get to see. I love the sentimental side. Can’t wait to see the finished product!
That is the perfect place for a garden!
Sweet! It brings back fond memories of my family and growing up in Tennessee. That's a nice piece of land also.
I love your plan!!!! I would love to have my grandparents house to play with! Lots of great memories!
This is a great project. I'm so glad you're bringing your grandparents home back to life. It sounds like it will be really nice. I can't wait to see the progress. Beautiful country life!! Thanks for sharing!
Love it and know your grandparents would too ..
This house will be such a special place for your family! ❤️
Thanks for sharing. I'm so happy for you. What a special home and a wonderful tribute to your grandparents. I'm sure they are smiling down on you. Looking forward to your journey! ❤
