I’m having the same problem with a 2015 c300 it won’t start or crank. I been checking everything for the last two to 3 weeks it won’t communicate. It is driving me crazy. I did a quick visual to those connectors but I’m going to do it again and I’m going to used a DVOM and measure across. Thank you very much for this video. I’m having a problem finding the schematic on line for free.everybody wants to sell you a subscription.
My glk 350 2013 has the same problem it won't crank and has the "do not shift gear and vehicle not in park" error. there were previous repairs on the driver's side can buses area. I noticed there was water on the floor carpet and dried it all out. Now the car starts but the break lights are on and the back lights won't go off. There are orange and white socket in the same place with the can buses areas the orange socket seems to have some repairs. My question is it safe to by pass those sockets and correct the wires directly because I noticed there are some already bypassed wires there
You shouldn't have any wires that have been bypassed! All wires must be connected properly to these connectors and all wires should be free of rust or anything similar! If you see repairs you must make sure that the wires were repaired properly and that they actually work! As far as stuff happening on the rear you can also check your Rear Sam for problems there because the electronics in the Rear Sam are responsible for those Rear lights. I hope I have helped you so far and if you need more help don't hesitate to contact me again. Thanks and Good Luck! 🤞💪👍
I had the "mercedes" crossfire with the power seats problem. They used crap solder in the whole car including relays. Found the seats relay under dashboard and resoldered loose pins inside and now they work.
Hi mate I have same issue I have eqc 2021 model Same water ( little bit to the driver side ) Car no start no power Only thing works is the wiper moves by it self Interior lights works , and hazard light works But my key fob doesn’t lock or unlock and no ignition no power Wouod it be these connections under the seat ? I checked fuses Checked rear fuses they seems okay
Next step I would do is find a Professional Scanner or pay a shop do get a proper diagnostic with that same scanner to see what modules are complaining and for what reason. Thanks 👍
Either there's a leak from you air conditioner inside the dashboard or there's a leak from the drain tubes of the sunroof going through the A Pillars. You have to investigate it technically... I believe you could put part of the carpet without removing the seats but this carpet is very thick and hard to pull... You just need to try and see how far you can get... Thanks 👍
You can remove the carpet without taking the seats and I suggest checking your sunroof drains. I opened mine and they absolutely POURED water out, which is why I had water in my rear passenger and driver side
It could or course but you still a proper diagnostic so you can see what error codes you have in the system. Unless you actually have a problem with your transmission and this has nothing to do with the Canbus system. Thanks and Good Luck! 🤞💪👍
Normally you have to investigate the codes individually or sometimes altogether if you are an experienced mechanic and you would know what these codes with me when they show up together. These connectors will give you problems only if they are rusted so you need to get to them and check them thoroughly and see if you see any rust or any other problems. If they're clean then most likely this is not your problem. Thanks and Good Luck! 🤞💪👍
I'm having the same issue,I already changed all the connectors and it still won't start, I also checked fuses 16 and 31 and they are fine, what else can I do, at the end of the video you were left without connection between the transmission and the computer again, what was the problem really
Additionally to these Canbus connectors we ended replacing the EIS to fix the car. Every repair would have their own individual twist and resolution so these videos I make are only guides to what you can try on your own. If you have no access to a professional scanner to also check the communication between the computers in the vehicle, you are going to need to go to a professional mechanical shop that deals with German vehicles so that they can diagnose your car completely. Thanks and Good Luck 💪👍
These are called ground connectors. You can call your local Mercedes dealer to ask for them and see what numbers you need so you can order the correct ones... Thanks 👍
Try to call another dealer because they know about these ground connectors and they should be able to tell you which ones your car needs! I already installed these on the vehicle and that vehicle has been gone for months. Plus I cannot guarantee that whatever I tell you will actually fit your car so this is why the Dealer needs to give you the correct parts for your car... Thanks 👍
Mine does the same I suspect it was water because it'll act up after rain, it doesn't have communication with gearbox sometimes it turns on and doesn't let me shift sometime it turns on and runs fine but after a while it stops wanting to shift and if I turn it off I can't turn it back on do you think it can also be the issue you fixed?
Possibly it may be because your symptoms sound very similar to what this car we repaired was doing. Anyway it will not hurt for you to check if there's water accumulating under the carpet so you can take the appropriate steps to repair the cause of the problem and if you need to change these ground connectors. Let me know if you have other questions! Thanks and Good Luck 🤞!
@@projectathosactually last night I removed carpet and sure enough there was plenty of water on passenger side both connectors had a lot of corrosion earlier I picked them up from the dealer and will replace them later today hopefully that fixes it

@TheRealDealish this fixed my issue, mine were the 2 passenger side, replace them they cost me 15 bucks each at dealer you can also order online. also thanks to @projectathos
You need to call your local Mercedes Dealer to inquire exactly what parts come on your car and what their part numbers are. You could also purchase them from the Dealer is what I would recommend... Thanks 🤞👍
Thank you so much for sharing the part numbers that really helped me find them. 🙏
Happy to help! 🤞💪👍
